for Ribery.

Why do players do this ?

It was deliberate and he pretended it wasn't.

Totally unlike Shawcross and Aaron Ramsey, complete accident by a quality player IMHO

It was deliberate, which was obvious, and definetly worthy of a two match suspension. The opposite to that Toulalan (two yellow cards), was very harsh especially the second decision.

If it was up to me, I'd give a minimum of 6 games suspenstion for things like that.

Looked deliberate to me as well. It is the most cowardly way to go into a tackle and very dangerous. Anyone can go into a tackle studs up - there is absolutely no risk to him and a very serious risk to the other player. Definitely worth more than 2 match ban cos it's a potential career ender.
