Talk about fucked off lol.

Went out last nght on the MTB and trying to improve my descending. Seems like I need to work on it more. Three broken bones in my wrist and possible surgery needed :(

Well done anyways Gem :)

Don't forget the Commonwealth Games TT and Road Race. ;)

TT is today.

Durbridge should take the means. Dowsett a close second.

Not seen the womens TT start list yet. Pooley should be a contendor though.

See she's knocking it on the head after Sunday's Road race? Lazy.

Concentrating on Tri apparently.

Took a tire off today to put a new tube in. Left it for a bit and now the tire doesn't seem to fit the wheel any more.

 it will do, just make sure the bead hasn't gripped on anywhere. Spin it and squeeze the bead away from the rim and then try pulling it over again (you mong  ).

Nah man the tyre has shrunk as the bead can't go around the rim even with there being no tube in at all.

Slaying The Badger was very good. I also watched Rough Rider last night, about Paul Kimmage. That was well worth a watch as well.

Just got Rough Rider downloaded from cycling torrents actually.

Also I can understand why Kimmage is better but he's one of the least personable people you can ever imagine.

Let us know what you think. Kimmage is an incredibly disagreeable bloke, but I sort of like him for it and you can't help but have respect for his principled stand after writing his book and his stand against Armstrong. His obsession though seems to have left him completely incapable of enjoying watching cycling - he seems to observe everything through a doping lens, and although he says he really enjoys it, there's not much evidence when you're watching the footage of him watching the tour and stuff.

Not sure if you've ever read the book by David Walsh about Team Sky? They gave Kimmage similar access in their first season as a pro team but they parted ways not that long into it as he just annoyed the fuck out of every one.

Also how much of a prick did the Larry David lookalike (Koechli) come across in Slaying The Badger?

Aye what a fucking classic lying French bastard he was.

I've not read Walsh's book, is it any good? I can imagine that of Kimmage - lad at work was saying if you went to the pub with him he'd be telling you you were drinking the wrong pint, the wrong way round and wearing the wrong shoes.

It's alright but it turned more into an anti-doping book rather than more of an insight into the behind the scenes world of Sky.

He does give them criticism and rightly so over Geert Leinders and Tiernan-Locke but it wasn't what I was expecting. Although Walsh did say he was able to watch cycling again without the cynicism that turned him away from the sport.

Aye Kimmage seems to be the same. You'll see for yourself but any footage of him watching cycling he's basically got his hands on his hips and an "ORLY?" look on his face.

The only moment he seems to enjoy is when Riblon won the Alpe D'Huez stage in last year's tour.
