He just stayed sat down like a naughty school boy in the end. Totally whipped by the crowd

Just watching the European Football Show on BT Sport and the French Journalist (I think that's who they were, I dont watch it often) Was asked if Grenier would move to Newcastle. He denied he'd move and I think he said "No why would he, he'd have Alan Pardew as Manager"

Listen from about 4 minutes - Barton reckons Pardew is the best English manager around.

To be fait, there's not much competition. Steve Bruce, Harry Redknapp, Chris Hughton, Sam Allardyce and Steve McClaren are his main rivals for that crown.

It's like being given the award for best English red wine. It doesn't necessarily indicate quality.

And we need to make sure from the start of the next year that we kick off, hitting the ground running fast. Hopefully we can.” Beating Liverpool for the first time since 1994 would go a long way to pacifying some of the unhappy punters and would mean that regardless of the negativity surrounding the club, United would have beaten Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool this season.

To do it Pardew feels that Fabricio Coloccini will be a key figure and after he helped halt the run of six straight defeats, Pardew was delighted to see the Argentinian back to form.

“He’s back to his very, very best,” said the United manager.

“He led with the flag held high.

“And we have followed him through and it was a big, big win for us.”

He keeps talking about the start of next season so it looks like he's not resigning or getting sacked. So we can expect the summer of woe, with cheap bargain basement players.

BIG, BIG WIN against the worst side in the league who had lost two thirds of their away games before they came to SJP.

Pardew really is a massive prick. Are we supposed to feel sorry for him?
