Was not built in one day. It took many years of planning and designing.

 

Although Souness has made some very good purchases, they are just quick fixes and not long term solutions!

If Souness had tried to build Rome, he'd have never been given planning permission !

He would have gone into the old Rome claiming it was the city with the best buildings he had seen.

 

Then he would have knocked some of them down and put other buildings in their place; 'proper' buildings as he would describe them.

 

Some of the buildings would start to fall over and he would blame the foundations/building materials/builders/architects/bad weather.

 

Before long, it would become quite apparent that the new Rome was not as good as the old Rome and, in fact, it was a bit of a pig's ear tbh and more than likely to be twinned with sunlun than the preferred option of Venice.
