  5. I'm applying for two universites. One which is 1.30 - 2.00 hours away (belfast / jordanstown) and the other is... well... Newcastle.. 2? I applied for 6! We only get 5 applications in total. So i'll be applying for Computer science in them two and information and technologies and whatever else.

  8. In my day they never demanded individual grades - you had to accumulate a certain number of points. Even then you could still get on a course if you didn't quite have enough - just had to blag it at interview. I got onto my course having only gained 2 points. I needed 10!! Aye I think they wouldn't bank on GCSE Maths much. 280 UCAS points including BB in your grades. I reckon I'll get ABCU (dropping politics - U) so should be grand.
  9. Thanks. Truth hurts Kevin, better to have it off me than some cunt interviewing you. They may not be a s harsh once they see you're special needs like. I hope you get hit by a bus. First lesson in the university of life (and I'm serious)... Learn to take criticism. You'll get plenty of it in your professional life and responding to it negatively will result in you ending up nowhere. Don't be quick to dismiss what Wacky has to say - Graphic Designer by profession I believe. I'd also listen closely to what people say with the "haven't a clue approach". When I left school I wanted to be an architect but didn't have the A-Levels. I went to University to do Computer Aided Engineering (CAD/CAM) which combined my desire for design with what I was good at - engineering. By the time I finished I absolutely hated engineering plus the prospects in the manufacturing industry were abysmal. I'd decided I wanted to get into IT - "didn't have a clue" what discipline - just so long as it was IT. Joined a company as an Applications Developer and Support Analyst. Quickly realised that I was no good at programming - more importantly, I got no satisfaction from doing it and I was existing in a job to pay the bills but that I ultimately hated. After 5 years of it I told them I'd had enough and that I needed a new challenge - effectively I was telling them I was off but they assumed it was down to them to do something about it. I took a role on the helpdesk for 6 months and then moved into 2nd line support - basically desk-side support. Finally I've found something that floated my boat and the doors have just kept opening up. I'm now Technical Specialist in Server O/S and Printing & Backup Solutions. If I'd thought about it when I'd left university rather than having the "haven't a clue" approach, I could be where I am now about 4-5 years back - instead it's taken me 10 years to get there. Big decisions to be made and they're going to roadmap the rest of your life so don't take them lightly. Well I sort of need to decide by september as that's when we start our UCAS applications. At the minute I'm set on Computing Science because i'm genuinley interested in that. This is the course i'm looking at applying to - http://prospectus.ulster.ac.uk/course/?id=7037. I reckon that I'd be quite interested in software engineering so i believe that I'd enjoy it. I don't plan on doing what many people do and that is going to uni just for the sake of getting any degree. Also it says you need a B in GCSE maths, i only have a C

  11. Stop me if I'm being rude but, who the fuck was talking to you in the first place Wacky which gave you an opportunity to include yourself in this conversation? Nobody. Fuck off Wacky.

He doesn't have a generated appearance so i think he was already in the game / real life. Try searching for him "Borja" and he's spanish.
