  1. I was thinking about the demise of Danny Baker's sausage-sandwich-game (as you do), and got to thinking of bacon sarnies. Now this is very scientific, so I want you to be honest with the survey (It's going to be published in Lancet. Maybe), so I don't want you all to just say Green Party. Okay.

Most folk enjoy a bacon sarnie (I can hear your stomachs rumbling), and there is always the 'right' way to have them, but how do you like them?

Back or Streaky - Streaky for me

Rind on or off - See above, so not much rind already on it.

Smoked or Unsmoked - Unsmoked for me

Fried or grilled - Grilled for me.

Lightly cooked or well done - As near to cremated as possible for me - just going to the brittle state.

Bread or buns - Prefer buns, but will slum it with bread if there's no fresh buns.

Butter on your bread/buns or naked - A very light skim of butter on my buns for me.

Sauce - red, brown, or none - For me, it has to be none. Sauce on a bacon sarnie is just plain wrong to me.

I'd also like to hear from our veggie friends - have you ever been tempted, or actually sucumbed, to falling off the vegetable lifestyle for a bacon sarnie? Be honest now!

  2. Disgusting, shameful behavior.

    I'm reminded of Zulu:

Men of Harlot, soapy tit wanks

    Birthday blow-jobs all for ye

Spit or swalllow, we're not bothered

    Hear ye not her call?

  3. Regarding St James' being a Direct Spots advertising hoarding: This is one of the main bugbears for me. If it were a multi-national company ploughing serious dough into the club I may be able to overcome my anger at it, but, at present, it's all for a nominal sum so the fat bloke can treat the ground like a market stall ie. cheap tacky posters everywhere.

Due to the increased evidence of his tacky company being more and more 'in shot' and blatantly in the face of tv companies, I wonder if they [the tv companies] ever consider staying away from SJP, purely down to the fat bloke's shameless advertising? In a way, I would rather hope they do stay away - rather than give him his hard on.

  4. To the tune of SJP favourite 'The Best' by Tina Turner

Leon Best, better than all the rest,

strikers that the toon have got,

Leon Best, he's better than Demba Ba,

Better than Lovenkrands, Shola and his little bro.

Er, thanks for coming but it's a 'no' from me :D

  5. Went looking for a Leon Best thread and couldn't believe the man on who our season rests, didnt have one!

We love you Leon and know you will come good and continue your excellent goal scoring record for us. :D

(To the tune of Robin Hood for those that like to sing a long).

Leon Best, Leon Best, he will lead the line.

Leon Best, Leon Best, he's scored nearly nine.

    Keeps us Shola free

    That'll do for me

Leon Best, Leon Best, Leon Best.

    As the song goes:

    Oh Christmas Tree

    Oh Christmas Tree

Why do I have do thy work for thee

    Summat like that :)

No thread on LB, you say? Did the very man himself sign up here and start his own thread a month, or so, ago? It's there if you look - fucked if can be bothered - and I have a sneaky feeling it was the man himself :yes .

  6. Landscape gardening, you say? I do like a nicely trimmed bush :D

However, the most alarming thing I've read on this thread is CT admitting to 'spurting' on his dogs B) What the fuck is all that about???

    D. B***** of Whitley Bay? Late teens? Hmmmm, I wonder if I know your mother?

EDIT: 25!!!!!!1111 FFS that's doubly worse; I was 'pleasuring' chicks all over WB & NS 26 years ago.

  7. Je suis tres fatigue. Tres fatigue. Haven't had a decent kip in days. Oot on me feet here. That tired I don't think I could be bothered to entertain Cath and TR if they both came in naked right now looking for some action. Sorry gals, not tonight.

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  8. If a bloke buys a garage for £50k and he then makes a £5k profit every year - as well as paying himself a salary - he eventually gets all his money back. What's wrong with that? Maybe I can't see the wood for the trees in all this ??

Perhaps it's just supporters' expectations of what LardAsh should do with the 'profits' year-on-year. I guess the majority would want it reinvested in players etc. Whether we like it or not it's his money, after all.

As I said a long time ago, perhaps those putting their hard earned into the club see it as the sooner he breaks even the sooner he's likely to sell up and fuck off. However, what if he sees it as a nice little cash cow year-on-year and doesn't sell up? That's what frightened me.

  9. My prediction is already in the Prediction thread - bottom three. I'm sticking to it. Hell, no one knows what will happen. I could be wrong (I told someone on here prior to us going down the last time - in November - that I thought we would be relegated, though, so bear that in mind :clapping: ), I hope I am, but I believe there is one hell of a monumental gamble going on here by LardAsh. A team with a few untried PL players. No top, or near-top, class striker. Who comes in if Tiote gets suspended/injured/ACN (That is a major concern for me) ???

I haven't seen us at all this season, so my prediction is obviously flawed. However, if you go to the Fulham thread you will see "Great save Krull" and then another "Another good save Krull", which gets my suspicions aroused. I read about S Ameobi and he's gonna be a star and that goal v Scunthorpe was fantastic. Well, having seen the clip of it on here, I don't see anything fantastic at all; I see a young energetic lad up against jaded defenders. Good finish, but if he can't do that to start with he has no place as a striker on a football pitch.

We're all entitled to our opinions and we wont know until the fat lass is singing next year. Fingers crossed I'm wrong.

  10. Much of Barton's banter is lost on your average journalist because some of them can't relate to the working class nature of it, for me I found it hard to keep a straight face while in the Scouser's company.

Lee Ryder, I'm not your average journalist.

    The People's journo!

That's me, like you I am near-illiterate and have a mind about as virile as a dung beetle.

Unlike other journalsits who might be scared, I won't let outside pressures influence my unbiased straight-talking coverage of the wonderful entrepeneurial genius (and good looking fella if I say so hehe) Mike Ashley and the way he has turned the club around into one of the powerhouses of european football with his incredible decision makings but ultimately because of his great respect for the people of the North-East

That is where me and him is similar because we both have a lot of respect for the NorthEast and equally we are both really respected ourselves and in high-profile positions.

So stop making photos of me on the internet, I know who it is, because I have got the will and the influence to see you in a great deal of trouble, you will be sorry trust me.

If you want high quality journalism by the people for the people then you could do better than to follow me Lee Ryder writing at the chronicle and also I do live webchats where I will chat to people on the web with my brand of straight-talking no nonsense investigative journalism.

follow me on twitter if you want more of this #leeryder#

  11. Pisses me off that we arent in for Bellamy

Like he'd come here after his recent comments in the press.

    Meanwhile.....

    DuncanCastles Duncan Castles

Sunderland still waiting on bank guarantees from Galatasaray on Asamoah Gyan fee. €6m + €2m in variables is the price. #safc

Isn't that a massive financial loss on what they paid for him?

According to Beeb, BBC Newcastle say he hasn't put in a transfer request. Still doesn't mean the transfer to Gala can't be happening, of course.

  12. Isnt he a winger?

Got pampass grass in the front garden, eh?

    Oh, winger..

 I've heard that rumour before as well. Any truth in it?

I hope not, my fathers got some in his :D

It's folk with caravans. They are ALL AT IT :) I was told that by one of 'them'. That's why they always veering around on motorways; 'cause there's folk in the back going at it hammer and tongs. No wonder there are so many used blobs on the sides of roads/motorways.

  13. From the BBC

Chris B via text: "Just seen Sebastien Bassong being driven into Newcastle's training ground. Looks like a return for the defender."

Didn't Besty start this rumour up a few hours ago?

    :D Class if he did.

My ITK tells me that 'striker' Peter Crouch is on a 'plane heading for Newcastle as we speak. He's off to sunlun, but, in order to save on the travel costs, inside his hand luggage is PVA who is coming to NUFC  You heard it hear first.
