  1. pumphrey's and the strawberry are my usual landing spots on match day for a quick swally before kick off
  2. original poster asked for a reason if voting YES, and as the only Yes voter so far seems reasonable to give my reason for attending: - booking of train and tickets been ongoing for weeks before I first heard about a boycott - getting into Newcastle about half 2 from Edinburgh (via Glasgow) so should have necked a few lagers by half 3 when I'll pop over to have a look at/support what's going on outside the Gallowgate end - don't want to show anyone up in the Leazes Park during a kickabout so I'm heading inside to support the team
  3. No game for the Jags this weekend (as our league splits into 2 bits) - so I'm heading down for the game on Sunday - got tickets before I'd heard about the boycott but still looking forward to it.
  4. our national anthem is no more racist than God STQ - especially in relation to General Wade in the 5th or 6th verse - storm in a teacup
  5. The hype was mainly down to print & tv media bullshitting it up - to be honest most tartan army crew can't be arsed with friendlies especially ones where the tickets were £60 - just reaffirmed the fifa rankings and nothing more - your lot pressed high, hunted the ball down as a unit, looked sharper the whole game and thoroughly deserved the win. Only a friendly though so no harm done. Hopefully there's no fannies kicking about causing trouble tonight.
  6. wish they'd stop banging on about it being ' space' - they'll be about 60 miles up near the kamran line with nowhere near the correct velocity to escape the atmosphere strapped to an unstable fekin petrol station - lucky if they get 4 or 5 minutes of 'weightlessness' which isn't caused by zero 'g' - you could just spend a tenner and go see Gravity if you want a decent view.

To be fair at least they made up their minds, offered a reason albeit completely shallow, and stuck to it. Atmosphere up here is unlike anything seen before - just back from the city centre where Yes have taken over the streets - https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=2983 From the Aye's perspective we have had a good experience just getting a glimpse of the exit door and can only imagine what lies beyond. Whether we give ourselves a big pat on the back tomorrow or a self-inflicted boot in the baws is anyones guess. Regardless of result tomorrow please excuse me - I'm off to settle in for the count and more importantly spark open a 12 year old Knockando and have a few drams. Slainte mhor agus a h-uile beannachd duibh.

spoke to four 'no's' that I know today and - jesus fkin wept - their individual main reason for going no were: don't want to lost my british passport (she's Irish) just want to get my (pension) lump sum - if it's a yes I'm off (to belgium) heard the scottish parliament will outlaw the broadcast of cricket in an independent scotland my sister might lose her job (in a hotel) up near the nuclear base No exit polls allowed today - any doing the rounds will be nonsense

Aye fair play - but you did come across as a right condescending khunt! Put the boot on the other foot - say, for example, England was ruled from Edinburgh ... the question is as follows: Do you agree that England should be an independent country Yes No

perhaps you should read the Monbiot article posted above - then ask who is the 'fuckwit' - perhaps indeed it is yourself as you still clearly don't get it as for the Americans being better informed it's perhaps more to do with the UK's bumchum being dissolved and USA not having a 'special friend' to do their bidding

they had the chance to have this option on a three option ballot (yes/no/devomax)- but thought they'd walk it as a 'no' only so cameron said fek off to devo max option - hence the panic with empty promises with 2 days on the front cover of a totally discredited red-top rag - might sway a few but anyone with sh*t for brains should see it for what it is - had a solid year long 'no' at work today who saw it, said fuk orf and then declared she was changing to Yes as she was sick of 'those fannies'.

Might let people understand why some sections of society feel that Westminster/GB has failed them - the Greater Maryhill Foodbank is a stones throw away from Partick Thistle's ground - kids from this catchment area attend the school I teach in. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=864793176864927
