I understand if Ferdinand feels as though he's being left out because of the John Terry issue, but it's stupid how he just expects a place in the team because he has 81 caps and previously captained England. Personally, I think Ferdinand is better than Terry, so he should be the one left out, but if Hodgson didn't think that it's not 'disrespectful' to leave him out.

Perch is better than Glen Johnson IMO. Really don't know how he is playing international football.

I'm liking Rooney in that CF role. If we get through to the quarter finals, we'll be playing Spain...but i'd hope Rooney would be playing further back and maybe put Welbeck in front of him reuniting their Man U partnership.

The reason he plays there is because he's incapable of playing anywhere else on the pitch. His only asset is his pace and it's harder to use that when you're playing on the left as a right footed player.

Moving Walcott too the right is basically saying "We don't want him cutting inside and trying to actually do something technical. Let's just stick him out on the right so he can try and sprint past some people"

I think Walcott would be just as bad playing on I don't think Walcott would suddenly gain superior technical ability if he were moved to the left.

Deployed how? They both play on the wing for Arsenal. Well Chamberlain can actually play more central because of his touch, control and understanding of the game, but I don't think it's that hard of a comparison to make.

I agree with you on Johnson. He should have been in the squad, but I can't disagree with you more on "Walcott > Chamberlain". How exactly is Walcott better? You can already see that Chamberlain has better vision, passing, control and final ball. He's so much more technically gifted than Walcott who has about has much technical ability as me (Not much of an insult, because i'm quite decent ). His touch is poor, his decision making is poor, everything about him other than his pace and the occasional finish, is poor.

I think he's being criminally underrated, just because people don't want to put too much pressure on him. But if you actually watch him closely, the only thing Walcott has over him is pace. I'm the only person that i've see put him in their starting 11's.

I'm not saying he's the best player in the world or anything. Just that he's miles ahead of Milner and Walcott and should be starting. Getting into this England side shouldn't be much of an achievement though. As a whole, our players are very overrated.

Who Chamberlain? You musn't be watching closely then? Had a good run down the right hand side taking on the right back, had a miss hit shot which he should have gotten on target and then had a 30 yard shot which was a yard from the cross bar. Milner on the other hand...

Chamberlain is looking good as well. I don't know how anyone could justify starting Milner or Walcott over him.
