If the job is so inviting why haven't they got somebody lined up to start as soon as the final whistle goes against West Ham. As we've been told the search will continue in the summer again it's not the club its the people who own and run it, and the constraints imposed upon the person who would take the job. Again that's why we have Carver now & possibly for the future

Not sure how they would make a name for themselves when winning trophies and finishing mid table are the requirements hardly reputation enhancing.

I'm not saying they wouldn't be interested in the job its just under the current set up even Keegan's hinted that he would come here again but not under the current owner. That's what's off putting i agree we are a massive club and people would jump at the chance but not under this lot i hope thats a bit clearer.

Anyone half decent wont come here and work under the constraints placed on them by Ashley. Keegan went to a court of law to explain what it was like working under Ashley i doubt aythings changed.

The thing is they appoint someone half decent then tell him"dont bother about winning any cups" we'll choose all your players" also "this is John, Andy & Steve your backroom staff" it's no wonder 90 or so have said "erm no thanks" . Which sort of leads us back to Carver.

The thing about this is the players you want to keep are the players most likely to be sold. Perez, Janmaat, Sissoko, Krul etc

I reckon with all the stuff with A O going on he might just go with Carver as far as the club have said out of a list of 90 odd applicants they have nobody lined up.

It should never have got to this we should have been safe weeks ago.

I remember looking at the table when we had 10 games left and thinking well at least we're safe i think we were 10th. Just looking at the table now it's going to be close hopefully we can pick up a couple of points from the last 4 games. Carvers record since January is P16 for 8 points thats an average 0.5 per game hopefully it'll be enough.

Aye we're being run like a Sunday league pub team in fact the pub teams are probably better run. We have an owner who doesn't know how to run a football club, a board member (Charnley) who's job used to be writing out the reserve team sheet. A manager who is more used to putting the cones out than managing. Then we have a football team were half are not good enough and most of the rest aren't even bothered it's no wonder we're in the mess we are.

Meh they dont dispute that the club doesn't get a single penny for the 140 Sports Direct signs displayed in St James Park.

I've no sympathy for Carver lets face it he's worked for Ashley for long enough. He's seen the way he's treated Hughton, Keegan, Shearer & hung Pardew out to dry. Yet still must have nearly took Ashley's hand off when he was offered the job what made him think he'd be treated any better. As has been stated he's too thin skinned, hot headed, & not good enough for the managers job. He can blame the squad all he wants but again he knew what he was getting he said on numerous occasions he had no problem with the club buying and selling players. At the end of the day the jobs to big for him he's out of his depth time to resign with a bit of dignity and pride.
