The club saying " we had no option but to sell Cabaye he was adamant he wanted to leave " that makes the club appear weak. What's now to stop Tiote, Colo, Ben Arfur etc saying they want to be off in the summer or else we wont play for the club.

Reading through the minutes it looks like we're to get a new DoF in the sumer (Hoddle ?) if we have to have one why cant he be appointed now to prepare for the summer window. By the time he has settled in and identified any players the window will be over unless thats the plan.

The way I see it now with Ashley is like this, the football team & fans of NUFC are a pain in the arse to him. But he's willing to put up with them because of the financial rewards he gets and the free worldwide advertising. The ground rules are there now we all know were we stand as long as he owns the club it's not going to get any better. Oh and dont expect a spending spree in the summer because we wont be held to ransom for over priced players with this being a WC summer.

Maybe's this is his way of getting his revenge for the abuse shouted about him by keeping the club & not selling. It's definitely a love/hate relationship on his part he loves the fact no matter what he does he'll have 50,000+ in the ground every home game. But he hates the "FCB get out of our club" chants.

Agree 100% mate its now there for everyone to see, buying the club for £100/£120 million we may have been able to find a buyer. But with that loan added on doubling that price we've no chance.

There's a rumour going round SJP that they've managed to get into Kinnears office. Pardew's been told if he take's all the emptys back he may have enough to buy a new player in the summer.

So whoever buys the club will have to pay the value of the club + the never ending loan I assume thats why the figure of £250 million was mentioned in the media the other day.

Just wondering what it was like were you were sitting was it a case having to put up with things the way they are. Was there a sense of anger towards Ashley and co ?. Anyone around you had enough after this season. I've no doubt the mood changed after Remy's goal after all 3 points are 3 points. But it's just a quick fix and doesn't solve the big picture wich has the potential to get a lot worse in the summer.

The thing is how many players are we going to need the article in the Chronicle last week mentioned up to 10 players will be away. Admittedly not all those were first team players but we only have a small squad to start with. The sheer amount of investment needed in the squad come the summer wont be matched by Ashleys money. That is why I think he'll go with loaned players I think we'll have a small cluster of bought players and the rest made up of short term loan players.

And yet on the last day of the window the story was going round that we might sign Ba.

What we probably will do is think about putting bids in generate a bit of excitement then sign nobody.

We'll just borrow a few no big transfer fees the kitty can grow and grow knowing it'll never be spent under Ashley's watch it may be trousered but never spent.
