The match goers have a chance to show they want the club run properly. If you dont mind what's happening all the drama the club becoming the butt of everyones jokes just keep going. Nobody should take the morale high ground I dont go to the match now but this October I'll have lived in the North East for 40 years I love this place this is my home.Newcastle United is our club Ashley's looking after it and he isn't looking after it properly there's a window of opportunity I hope the match goers use it. Its more than that man or it used to be I moved to the North East in 1974 I was 15 went to my first match with kid from school I lived at Felling at the time. I remember getting off the train at Central station as I walked out the smell from the brewery's hit you it always seemed to smell stronger on match days. Buying a programme then getting in position at the right hand corner of the Leazes end as you looked from the Gallowgate. Getting peanuts off the guy with the basket who used to walk round the edge of the pitch. Getting a Bovril from the stall at the back off the Leazes watching Supermac score the winner.Then a celebration hot dog with onions of course, to eat on the way back to the Central knowing you'd be back in a fortnight to do it all again.

The match goers are an absolute credit to the club. In fact I don't know of any other club that were the match goers would have put up with all the crap thats gone on while Ashley's owned the club.

Just hope people aren't fooled into thinking this will solve anythng about the way the clubs being run and the contempt they have for the fans. They'll probably come up with some kind of bogof offer for the Spurs game next week to see how the land lies. I just hope they get the reaction they deserve off the fans a very low turn out in fact if its like that for a few home games so much the better it's been a long time coming but the pennys finally dropped.

Do we know if the 4,000 ST cancellations mentioned yesterday was true ? It's a canny chunk of money if it's right.
