Not quite strictly true this. We have already accounted for £2,369,000 in the latest accounts for Robson's payoff so it has been completely written off so nothing to prevent a payout to Souness and crew. The Agm on Dec 14th could be very interesting.

Taken from .co,uk MICHAEL Owen has been ruled out of Newcastle United's Carling Cup clash with Wigan Athletic on Wednesday night. The Magpies' record signing has missed the recent Premiership defeats at Chelsea and Everton with a groin injury, and he will again be on the sidelines at the JJB Stadium. Also absent is left-back Celestine Babayaro, who limped out of Sunday's 1-0 loss at Goodison Park. As a result, manager Graeme Souness recalls Robbie Elliott to the squad that will travel to the north west to face Paul Jewell's Latics, when a place in the last eight of the Carling Cup will be at stake. Newcastle will be looking to avenge their 1-0 league loss at Wigan back in September, when skipper Alan Shearer saw an equalising 'goal' controversially chalked off. United have named the following 18-man squad: Ameobi, Boumsong, Bowyer, Bramble, Brittain, Chopra, Clark, Elliott, Emre, Faye, Given, Harper, Luque, N'Zogbia, Parker, Ramage, Shearer, Solano

We have never been able to match up against pub teams like Everton, Wimbledon etc. Emre for one was completely "missing in action." You have to stand up to this style of football before skill can take over.

Thanks for that Gemmill. I already have that data from various sources but you can only see the directors pay etc in the full glossy version. I'll just have to be patient and wait before I can plan my questions for the shareholders meeting. Bit sad I know but it is the only chance fans get to quiz the Fat One
-
Just wondered if any shareholder has received their glossy report and accounts for 2005 yet? Must be due out soon, wanting to see how much salary/bonus the 2 leeches have awarded themselves this year.

This is the strip for our European campaign, as per the yellow one last season, I take it? Well at least Flo in the club laundry isn't going to have to check the labels for washing instructions this season

Nothing "Official" about Solano fee/details
East Stander replied to East Stander's topic in Newcastle Forum
Very good point Gemmill, I'll go along with that theory too. The fee will be in the interim accounts released in March 2006 so hopefully my anorak won't have worn out by then!! These international weeks are SO dull and boring!! -
Neither ourselves or Villa have released details to the City yet about Nobby/Milner transfer such as fee paid etc. It is a dull news day and thought I would add to it!!!

From the BBC: The best Newcastle can hope for is a draw, they still haven't scored a goal and have only one point from three games. However, United have come from back from their Champions League match in Hungary with one or two injuries. Verdict: 1-1

Bellamy may miss our trip to Ewood..
East Stander replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Nice to see Hughes suffer his own punishment after all the times SBR was unable to pick Bellamy after coming back from games for Wales, often with serious or long term injuries. -
Where's a congunctivitis epedemic when you need one??

Followed by you phoning in, saying what a grand job Souness has already made and how he needs more time..... 10017 I can never get through cos you're always on with your legs dangling over the Tyne Bridge telling them you're going to end it all if they don't bring Robert back. 10021 Taken from their website: 100-102 Century FM, the North East’s regional radio station, announced it has become the official commercial radio partner of Newcastle United Football Club, securing an exclusive commentary deal to broadcast home and away games during the 2005/2006 season. The news comes as Metro Radio announced that they have dropped all football commentary, however Toon fans shouldn’t be disappointed just a flick of the switch to Century FM and fans will be entertained with commentary by the last Newcastle United Captain to lift silverware for the club - North East football Legend Bob Moncur. "I am privileged to have had the opportunity to play for Newcastle United and it’s an honour to be the last Captain to pick up silverware for the club, so you can imagine my delight when Century FM asked me to commentate on the Toon. I may not be able to pull on my boots and run out for the club but I certainly will be cheering the lads on and nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see Captain Alan Sheerer collect a trophy" says Bob Moncur. Home to the hugely successful ‘3 Legends Football Phone-In’ with Malcolm Macdonald, Eric Gates and Bernie Slaven. Bob Moncur & Andy Bayes are set to join Century FM as the official Newcastle United commentary team. Owen Ryan, Programme Controller for 100-102 Century FM said, "We are absolutely delighted to be broadcasting both Newcastle United and Middlesbrough football commentary this season. Imagine sitting listening to the team you live and breathe playing top flight football, having every kick described with great passion by a legend from the club – Century FM gives you that experience. This is an ideal link-up for Century FM because it reinforces our commitment to sport in the North East and also offers the opportunity to introduce our brand to a wider audience."

Pretty much sums up my feelings. 7322 Think this is completely true and accurate. I remember fatso saying sometime last year about how chairmen should be more involved in the buying of players as in the continent. And to add to other conspiracy theories, I guess that Bowyer will also be leaving, he made a big effort to applaud the fans whilst being last man off the pitch last night. Not as theatrical as Robert but bearing in mind Bowyer's interview last week, who knows??
-
My theory is that we could be buying after today. The reason being is that the club's financial year end is today and our beloved Fatso will want the year end accounts to look as good as possible so he can easily pay himself and dastardly douglas the usual hefty dividends and bonuses.
