  1. Sounds a great idea to me. Perhaps to get the club to buy in to the idea there could be some sort of fund raiser for his charity? not sure what, even if it the odd bucket for spare change, cant see the club saying no to rare and potentially good publicity.
  2. So you work for birds eye in lowestoft then, sorry if i have blown your cover! I worked for birds eye a couple suumers ago, i was a pea harvest co-ordinator. I can honestly say it was the easiest yet most boring job i have ever known! I have a friend working there at the moment in the R&D building. You've not blown my cover, my description was hardly cryptic ! I used to do the engineering cover for the Pea season when I was an apprentice, like you say, easy money, most night shifts were spent asleep, who's your mate in R & D ? His name is Ben, not sure exactly what he does but i think it has something to do with entering data into SAP when they come up with new products. Pea season is a weird experience. The guy running it just lives for peas, its hard to believe anybody has such a passion for such a trivial thing.

  4. I'm not far from you at all, I'm in Lowestoft, and as for G***t Y******h, I think it is almost worth an immediate ban for using that name on the board I know, all i ask is that people don't hold it against me! To be honest i went into Yarmouth the other day for the first time in a few years (we have just got a nice new debenhams built) and it reminded me why i never go there. Saying that i have spent quite alot of time in Lowestoft through work and various other means and it isnt too much better! The one thing i will always remember lowestoft for is the number of youth football teams, as a kid we seemed to be playing there every week.
  5. From the sunny shores of Caister on Sea, i do try my hardest not to associate myself with Great Yarmouth though.
  6. Well my local football team seems to be Norwich. I am however surprised to find if i wanted to see a game of Ice Hockey i would have to travel all the way to Hull, so just for the record if anybody in East Anglia is thinking about supporting Ice Hockey....don't bother.
  7. well i dont know what i did but i went into the sports interactive file and 'game' was there so i put the file in there and like magic it has worked. the 'game' file has subsequently hidden itself once again but i have done what i need so it can do what it likes now. thanks for your help.
  8. cheers for the advice, im going to give it a go but im almost resigned to accepting fate and leaving the game. i was on the verge of greatness but i suppose its not to be.
  9. well i have got the old game on my portable hard drive but within the football manager 2008 file there doesnt appear to be a 'game' file to drag and drop into. however in the actual game it clearly shows a 'game' folder when i go to save a game. any ideas where the thing might be hiding?
  10. ok thanks for the quick response. ill give it a shot and see how it goes.
  11. Im sure anybody here who plays football manager will understand my predicament. I have just brought a new laptop and as my computer knowledge is basic is was wondering if it is possible to transfer my saved game from the old laptop to the new one. If anybody could shed some light on this you it would be greatly appreciated. i have a portable hard drive to transfer it if that makes it easier. thanks in advance!
  12. i think the website he was refering to is alluc.org , it has loads of stuff on there streaming.
  13. If things get any more serious, give us a holla. Toontastic posse got yo back. It'll be like in a film when the goodies are getting a kicking and all of a sudden the ones who you thought were sort of semi-baddies turn up like the cavalry and whoop some ass. ok will do, thanks alot for the offer.
  14. ok then, im guessing most of probably wont be joining then.
  15. hes not my hero, i couldnt really give a fuck about him. it started off as a joke but got serious, all im saying is if your on facebook to join it. you dont even have to read it or post on it, its just about getting the most members.
  16. well being at uni i have alot of spare time, so as a joke i set up a group (kieran dyer is my hero) and as some of my mates from a flat upstairs were jealous that i was in charge of something they set up marcus bent group. This was all light hearted but then it started getting personal with jibes about each others mothers, this led to the intense rivalry. Basically there is no prize or winning target, my sole aim is to get so many members that their group looks pathetic and they have to concede that Kieran dyer is much more loved than marcus bent. At the end of the day it could end up being quite a good group anyway with lots of members, there is always alot of funny discussion surrounding kieran dyer. so i recomend that anybody on facebook to join and spread the word, if not in facebook join up and spread the word anyway.
  17. heres a link http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2249929636 we can deal with the joan collins issue after marcus bent has been dealt with. spread the word.
  18. is it because your from middlesbrough? just join for the laf.
  19. alright lads and lasses, well basically im after a huge favour, could anybody who has facebook to join the 'kieran dyer is my hero group'. The problem is what started as a bit of banter by my group and a marcus bent group has ended up in a war and basically all numbers are needed. So if anybody could please spare the few seconds on facebook to add my group it would be much appreciated. (also get everybody you know to join) thanks alot Andy.
