Lopo is no better than what is currently at Newcastle. Although he is probably very keen to get the hell out of Espanyol at the moment. A pretty disastrous season after uefa cup qualification last year.

earlier on this summer, when barca were looking for a new striker, there was talk that they had promised to sign luque this time next year. He has been looking for a move away from La coruna for a while.

 

I saw him play the second half for La coruna against Real Zaragoza last season and also on Tv a couple of times and he seems to be a mre consistent player than Robert, prepared to run at people. 10 goals a season would still make him quite high up our top scorers charts

Massive, massive pressure on Benitez and the Liverpool board to sign Owen. I think it'll be too great and he'll go back. Perhaps we should try to get Cisse cut price instead?

i get the feeling benitez is very much his own man, he knows what he's trying to get and if Owen doesn't fit, he won't sign him. he wasn't massively concerned when gerard was trying to leave.

did anyone see the prices in the papers last week of season tickets throughout europe compared to english clubs.

 

think the dearest was barca which was £125.

 

ac milan was only £85.

ajax was something like £115.

 

it showed how much english football fans are being ripped off.

 

some inquiry in now being set up to investigate the cost of going to football in the english premiership.

 

barca season tickets start at 152 euros going up to 616 but you also have to be a member which adds 137 euros. not too bad i guess.

 

ticket for individual matches are about the same price as here though.

We're all happy with Emre and Parker, but they were not the number one priority, and what makes it worse is he fucking well knew back into last season he was dumping Bellamy and Robert and pretty much also Kluivert so how the hell did we ever get to the stage of havign no strikers!!!!

White hankies are traditionally waived at Barcelona to show that the fans are not happy, be it with the manager or the President.

 

not just at Barca, most Spanish grounds, they also do quite a good line in whistling when displeased. It can get pretty deafening and the manager and players certainly hear it.
