  1. I’ve never heard of maybach (except the posh Mercedes) I’ll have a gander…

my Les Paul is a Studio from ‘95 and although I tried to find a standard I liked more I didn’t manage to! It was already worn in and just felt nicer than the new ones I tried.

I put some vintage sounding pickups in it but I can’t remember what they’re called at the minute 😬😁

  2. It all got out of control for a while and I spent all of my money on them… then vintage synths, then studio gear… that feeling when you pick up a great guitar is a bit of a drug and putting it back just seems wrong 😑😭😁

I know what you mean once you get your main gear but even then… it’s dangerous!

Agree with both of you, just depressing to see.

China’s been getting involved everywhere, way more than Russia IMO. They clearly do things more intelligently by the looks of things.

Yes it’s depressing but ultimately I guess the world’s run more or less like this for a long time.

Is anyone else becoming a bit concerned that China appears to have sided with Russia on this? I read something about them offering military hardware to support the endeavour. And also this:

Chinese vlogger branded a national traitor for sharing the truth.

an enemy of my friend is an enemy or whatever the phrase is

China is Russia with 10 times more people and all of the factories. They’ll be the world’s Daddy soon if they aren’t already

    obviously you know this

This seems balanced enough but I don't think they're telling us anything we didn't know, which calls into question a bit their premise that discussion on these issues isn't taking place. I think we've all been very aware of the Azov regiment since this kicked off, and I'm not personally convinced that there has been any real attempt by the media to suppress discussion around that - the guardian was running articles on them in the same year they formed tbh.

I think an area that they could have addressed, was the extent to which this 'nazi' regiment was causing problems/violence to anyone. Just the fact that they exist, even if armed, doesn't make them much different to any other country. A bit, but not much. If they are running around using these weapons though, then that's a different story. As it is, every time anyone brings them up it seems a bit of an impotent remark - yeah they exist, but they don't particularly seem to have done anything for all their heavy arms.

I’m not making any particular point, I just found it interesting. The video clearly says that the vast majority of Ukrainians are much more “western” and liberal which I am obviously pleased to hear but that there is a powerful Nazi element who although small in number, do have an influence in the country.

The potential parallels between Ukraine and Syria where the situation became so complicated you could almost be backing one side in one region and the opposite side in another.
