  1. What, for not thinking the same as you? wow
  2. MEPs aren’t as powerful as MPs. They are more like figure heads. Just like we don’t get to vote for the EU president. You are welcome to want that obviously.
  3. So the country can vote in a government who would reduce it. they are at liberty to do so now the vaccine delays were all caused by eu infighting
  4. Are any of those not true? Your goal appears to keep moving
  5. No it just required consent which it didn’t get
  6. Listening to the msm is waaaaay better You’re going with masks then? those ones that have holes bigger than virus particles? ok
  7. This is starting to sound like a frite on your épaule 😁
  8. France isn’t the property of the EU 🤷🏻‍♂️
  9. Can set our own tax rates to suit our situation. Can make independent trade deals with emerging economies. We were able to get a head start with the vaccines. Anything that doesn’t involve asking 27 other countries if it’s ok 🤷🏻‍♂️
  10. No I’m not on glue. Or cigarettes. i gave up 18 years ago and the first few months were shit. Hence using it as an example.
  11. There are no immediate tangible benefits to loads of things 🤷🏻‍♂️
  12. Do you know why Japan has such low cases of Covid? Or Uttar Pradesh? He hasn’t told anyone to take anything (except for the vaccines)
  13. That argument works both ways. The influx of cheap labour benefitted “fat cat” types and was (IMO) to the detriment of ordinary people.
  14. This argument sounds like a guy who’s trying to justify why some girl should sleep with him. Not wanting to is reason enough. Also, the challenge is deliberately designed to “fail”. Of course right now there is chaos and more than a little ill will. We don’t know what the long term outcome will be. The EU had 40 odd years to implement its system. Not everyone (myself included) liked the direction it was going in. If it was just a trading block nobody would have voted to leave.
  15. I mean I get that you guys like the EU but how much? Are we talking “Still European” Facebook statuses?
  16. Btw Gemmill, I didn’t have the casting vote
  17. Any problems that are currently happening in the UK could just as easily be blamed on decades of cheap foreign labour and Covid. If the case to stay had been so compelling I and millions of others would have voted for it. the amazing thing is that all the troubles that have happened since the UK left prove to each side why they were right to vote the way they did. to remainers it shows that the EU was too powerful to leave, and to the leavers it proves that the EU was to powerful to remain. I love France and it existed before the EU. It will remain after the EU is gone. IMO, the EU is just a load of crooks employing a load of middle managers making up nonsense regulations and having great pensions. it is not necessary to be a part of it to be outward looking or open minded. It’s just one particular way of doing that and one I happen to disagree with. if you disagree, cool 👍🏼it wouldn’t affect how I spoke to you or regarded you.
  18. I still have to go through UK customs 🤷🏻‍♂️ You had quite a lot of time to move here if you’d have wanted
  19. Hell is subjective. People have different views and I respect others’ right to hold them. like religion, almost nothing is black and white and we all end up worse off when we stay in echo chambers and misrepresent what others think.
  20. I’m not going to dignify this with a response. Jesus wept.
