Well, if I give up then I definately won't make it! I reckon this is what I'm best at, so ok, maybe I won't become a millionaire but as long as I make a living it's ok. This idea that you have to be the top of your tree is nonsense. I don't put those demands on others. I don't expect every policeman to end up running the Met or every businessman to become head of Tesco. The stuff I'm writing is pretty much rock with a bit of alternative, pop and funk in there too. I don't have anything ready to play you yet, but if you can be arsed to wait I'll send you some stuff in the spring. At the moment I'm writing the songs so there's a little way to go still.

Couldn't have said it better myself! I'm sure NUFC has made Ameobi a millionaire. He can't really complain, he's had a lot of chances. I think it's a mistake to place so much emphasis on "local" talent. I think Lua Lua was probably the better player (just), but he wasn't from Newcastle. I agree with SLP though, the guy could do without the crap while he's actually playing. I think the best we can do is loan him out for a bit.

No not really. It's a way of putting together some songs to try and get younger or established acts to cover them. Also I'm interested in writing partnerships with artists who are with a record company but need developing. I'll see how it goes but I don't particularly want to gig myself.
