2. I agree, however, I've never played a really good game on a great PC. I'm sure it's amazing but I couldn't be arsed with sorting it all out. I'd rather buy a console and a game.
3. If they're no longer interested, being a moaning, sobbing mess about it is going to push them away faster rather making them think to take them back. Just go and find another girl, although I guess the two of you do only have English girls to choose from. Poor bastards. 43987
4. No, I haven't, I've heard of it though. I've been using Logic for a few years so I don't really look at other programs tbh. Do you use it?
5. I do only use mine for making music (running Logic 7). I have a PC for office/internet/games stuff though. As Dotbum said, Macs are used predominantly for graphics and music as they are stable and reliable. You're probably right though, PCs are as good as most people need them to be, but Logic was bought by Apple a couple of years back so it's Mac only now.
6. You on a Mac? 43831 Sure as hell am. Far superior to PC's imo and no virus carry on. Been on BB for 2 year and never even had a sniff of a virus 43918 I use a Mac for music. I've never had a days grief out of it. I even sold my last one for £300 on ebay and it was nearly 4 years old.
7. I can't bear Robbie Williams. He's up there with Rio Ferdinand and Kieron Dyer for annoyance.
8. If I may ask a layman's question, what's the advantage of using Firefox?
9. I spent that much time playing Super Mario Sunshine I nearly went 'radio rental'. Class though, as my girlfriend didn't say at the time. 43769 Well, I almost failed my degree playing Super Mario World the first time round. Just as well my telly blew up when it did tbh. 43771 Super Mario.....ahh yes....him too the little fucker!
10. A good game should be easy enough to pick up, but addictive enough to want to get better. I think these games are fantastic as they had to rely on gameplay over graphics. Having said that, nothing has eaten my time more than Zelda or Tiger Woods
11. Sorry to hear it man I can't say anything that'll help, just make sure you try and keep busy and find some things to get out there.
12. What we're missing is a conceited statement from AF and 15 pages of abuse. Get to it AF. 43650 Damned if I do, damned if I don't......
13. No, I don't. Luckily someone here could tell me. It's called a question. Unfortunately I'm not a student, so I don't know everything.
14. Is it there for a reason or is it some crazy Linux "in-gag"?
15. I don't think that does prove Rob's point to be fair. The fact is people had less in the 60s and 70s. It's escalating to the point now where kids EXPECT to have a phone and trainers and stuff which many families can't afford. The result? Kids getting mugged for their phones on a daily basis. Why do these kids want phones? Because David Beckham et al are in their faces 24 hours a day looking cool with their new mobiles. I'm not naieve enough to think that anything is likely to change in the near future, but I'm pretty certain that if you create demand for something, then you have to face the fact that many who can't afford it, will find other ways of getting it.
16. So consumerism is at the same level as in the 50s and 60s? The levels of prizes haven't changed at all? It's my opinion that consumerism is the one piece of the jigsaw that too often gets overlooked in this debate.
17. But that would be cheating, why would you bother? 43454 I didn't say I wrote it down. I was insinuating that if that was the case, then anyone could get the high score.
18. I wouldn't bet on it Gemmill. There are some disturbingly high scores out there. Like AF getting 50 on Simon. 50 ffs !!!! Plus I don't think there are any accounting games. 43279 Probably wrote them down tbh. 43354 Agree tbh 43355 You can write things down too though can't you?
19. I could see a swap deal..... I think we could struggle to keep the "little mercurial goal poacher".TM
20. If I could chip into the "Daily Mail" debate..... I think the problem stems from consumerism. That too has grown over the past few decades and it places huge importance on possessions as barometer of status. The fact that "celebrities" are placed in high esteem when they often have no discernable talent is because they can buy the stuff that many people aspire to own. It takes quite a bit to lose that mentality, even among some very sound people that I know. There seems to be a "shame" in having a too small a house or too old a car that is so subtley ingrained that we don't notice it. No kid at school wants to have the naff football boots and although I'm sure the problem has always been there, I think it's far worse and goes beyond school age nowadays. If you ever watch ITV on a saturday night, you will see hours of programs where people win money and consumer goods. The ad breaks reinforce the message. I know I'll probably get accused of being a yoghurt knitter, but it's not the case. I see nothing wrong in having nice stuff, but it's the rate of turnover in replacing it all that seems so excessive. Consumerism today is on crack, it needs to ease back a bit, back to say booze.
21. I think Brian Johnson said he was basically offered the world's most expensive season ticket. 41364 It was Bon Scott not Brian Johnson who sang Highway to Hell.
