  2. Yes, I do blame Given. He deserves plenty of blame. I can completely understand his desire to leave and would've waved goodbye with tears in my eyes at the end of the season if that is the path he chose. But after his public temper tantrum in January and the way he abandoned this club when we needed him most, yes, I do blame him. 'Consummate professional' he certainly isn't. I don't have time for Shay pissing Given any longer. Aww did some one touch a soft spot there mate Are you saying he didn't with you? Was one of my Toon heroes for a long time. Not really. Was one of my heroes too, don't blame him for wanting to leave and don't blame him for leaving but I do blame him for the the manner in which he left in, like I've said before. He lost a lot of my respect and I am sure the respect of many Toon fans like my self when he started whinging, made me feel as though he thought he was too big for club.

  5. Geordieijihad What a character, you cant be real, Jimbo has plain and simply stated that its the Cockney Mafia thats at fault for the calamity of this season, but what hes trying to say is that individuals like Shay Given haven't exactly helped the club's situation. How do you think the other players felt when Given left? Do you really think they would have been happy? the question is easy to answer, NO. As for asking Shearer, Kev and Sir Bobby, the way you go on about them seems like you get on with them canny well and have had long conversations with them about certain individuals, give iz their phone numbers or something I'll be more than happy to ask. Or when you next speak to them send my regards
  6. No blame on Given what so ever, he left because of the circus. If Wise had kept his fucking cock-eyed fucking face out of Kev's business none of this would have happened, but for walking out in the manner he did, hes also to blame and is also a part of the circus.

  8. Wigan manager Steve Bruce has launched a scathing attack on Amr Zaki after the Egyptian failed to return from international duty on time. The on-loan striker was due back in Wigan on Tuesday, more than 36 hours after he had taken part in a World Cup qualifier against Zambia. Compatriot Mido returned as scheduled but Zaki did not show and repeated efforts by club staff to contact the player have proved fruitless. The Latics have received a faxed report from the Egypt team doctor claiming Zaki has a hamstring injury and needed rest but that has not been backed up by the required scan to highlight the problem. It is the fourth occasion this season that Zaki has not come back to England promptly and Bruce has promised to fine him heavily. "I really am at the end of my tether with him," Bruce said on the club's official website. "Before this latest incident, Zaki had already been fined considerably more than the average person in Britain earns in a year and he will now face another heavy fine. "This is the fourth time he has not reported back on time from international training. "I have already fined him the maximum allowed but this just seems to have no effect. "I am now fearful that if I don't take firm action, it will disrupt the rest of my squad, who - to a man - behave totally professionally. "I just feel it's time that we went public on just what a nightmare he has been to deal with. "I can honestly say that in all my time in football I have never worked with someone as unprofessional. Disappointed Bruce believes Zaki has let the supporters down and added that personally he felt extremely disappointed by the 26-year-old's behaviour. "Zaki's behaviour has shown total disrespect to the club who pays him a very good wage and equally as importantly, to the fans who sing his name from the stands," said Bruce. "I think it's time for them to know the truth about the man. "This situation needs to be resolved as soon as possible and I don't feel it's appropriate to say anything more at this stage, apart from how let down I feel, personally and professionally."

  14. Sky Sports News understands Iain Dowie will join Newcastle United as Alan Shearer's assistant. An official statement from the club with regards Shearer's appointment will be made on Wednesday afternoon, but it would appear he is already putting in place his own people. Dowie has been out of football since leaving Queens Park Rangers earlier in the season but will be a key part of Shearer's coaching staff. Shearer and Dowie remain friends from their time together as players at Southampton. While Shearer is a novice in the managerial game, Dowie has accrued considerable experience during spells at Oldham, Crystal Palace, Charlton, Coventry and QPR. Stay tuned to Sky Sports News and skysports.com as we bring you all the breaking news from St James' Park. Sorry for the opening of this thread, didn't see the other thread had already got this bit in. Tom do the honors
