It's just a shame it's not even remotely competitive. Aussie Christmases always sound mint, with the weather and seafood you lot have. Bastards.
Yeah its warm here. I am in my short pants and singlet. Beers in the esky. My belly is full. I am chilling after a weird year.
Aye I crave competitiveness as much as you do. It isn't there at the minute

It was alright cheers Ken. Hope yours was good too. 🥂
Am at my parent's place. Me mam has arthritis so I did the cooking. We bought a lot of cooked prawns, lobster and made kilpatricks as well as a whole chicken.
Yeah bit disappointing watching the cricket although I thought the changes that England made were positive. It is what it is.

Never mind Scott. Hope you had a great Christmas? 😏
-
Positives? Really?
You need another opener. A spinner. And Woods to be back in the side. Then go from there.

I predicted 4-0 before a ball was bowled. That looks optimistic now as Adelaide was one of our best chances. Our first innings collapse in perfect batting conditions tells you exactly what to expect from the rest of the series.
I won't make predictions. But I hope England make changes, put it that way.

Tbh the selection has been shite too. Can’t understand leaving Wood out and not selecting a proper spinner.
There’s a litany of issues with this test side I suppose and I don’t think there’s much of an appetite to fix them.
The lad breaks down all the time? I mean fair enough if you want to cotton wool him but yeah that test meant everything. Not having Wood there and a spinner.
I don't know what the tactics are with your lot. I really don't. And its disappointing.

Even if we’d turned up with Archer fit, Stokes more than half-fit and the whole side prepared to play in Aussie conditions with a few practise matches it would have been tough. To rock up as undercooked as we did was always going to end in disaster.
Our bowling attack locks the variation to beat the best overseas and our batting is shite at home and abroad.
Clearly your lot are underdone. And bereft of a game plan. Merry Xmas. We will see how the Boxing day test match goes. Chill my friend.

This was Chase Australia and yes he beat a fat English woman. All the others are Aussie and their weight look normal comparable to their height lol

No wonder he won if there wasn't a chaser
A kiwi through and through him. His 3 other contestents fell down at first attempt. He earned 20k and defended it. He was sweating so bad at the end you could see his armpits and when he shook the host's hands at the end, he pulled back. I tried to upload pictures here but can't do it. Never mind. It was one memorable

Funny how were talking about New Zealand and you lot were taking the piss out of my with the quiz name.
My mate won 20K on The Chase Australia 6 month ago. He did it on his own. Champion.

you alright?
Have you moved over to New Zealand yet?

And that is the end of that. England fought hard during the match but they just don't have enough. Their team selections deservedly should be questioned. Not playing a spinner and persisting with grade cricketers is not good enough.
Not much by way of highlights but Joe Root running like he was riding an invisible donkey was one .
Ah well lads chin up. Enjoy Christmas, hope all have a good one and I look forward to the Boxing day test 😀
-
Ah fitting that it is Broad and Anderson trying to defy us victory. The two that have caused us angst many a time.

Joe Root properly knackered.
England have their 2 best batsmen out there.
-
Rory Burns is into double figures.
-
Anything positive worth noting with this lot deserves acknowledgement Gemms 😉
-
England's bowling attack genuinely putting in a shift today.
-
Is Steve Smith a quality t20 player? I will let you dwell on that. And I will let you dwell on the 2nd test which starts on Thursday.
I hope Anderson plays to make a game of it.

Mindblowing conversation with my sister this morning. Mentioned we would do LFTs before we come to theirs on Christmas day...
"What you doing that for? They're totally inaccurate! You could ruin your whole Christmas. I'm telling you now mam will be furious if you don't come on Christmas day cos of that. We won't be doing them."
(which when you consider my nephew will be working in a pub all over the Christmas period is fucking ridiculous and totally irresponsible).
It's genuinely pointless getting into it with her because she's fully Facebook radicalised, so I just said..
"Well it would ruin my Christmas a lot more if I came to yours and gave you all Covid, so I'm fine trusting the LFT. Up to you what you lot do, it's your house."
This is genuinely sad. That this can happen to families is depressing.

Yeah you do. Root is doing his best

I might watch the first session, see if Root and Malan can survive the new ball. Need another 250 runs or so to have something to bowl at.

England's session. They have looked menacing.
