3. when immigrants enter the country they should be arbitrarily divided between the nation, simply put, do not permit the creation of Ghetto's

the few people of different ethnic backgrouns that live in my area are entirely integrated, not because we're all some kind of new age hippie commune, but simply because those families of different ethnicity were forced to mix with the rest of the community.

the first time we even Realise that Altan was different was in High School where the R.E. Teacher was discussing the subjects for the year

"We'll cover all the religions, from chritianity to islam" and on islam, pointed to Altan... He was visibly shocked because a) she blatantly segregated him from the rest of the class and ;) she assumed because of his skin colour that he would be muslim and most importantly c)failed to notice the crucifix he wore about his neck...

integration won't work now, too much time has passed and there are definite ghettos in so many cities and towns that it is the "norm" rather than an anomoly

  4. No, to be honest I like the way the genre is esoteric. It's underground appeal helps set it apart from lots of other stuff :second:

I suffer from similar snobbery when it comes to music, I am one of these idiots who tramp around the country to watch the "next big thing" but tire of them as soon as they release their second album, declaring that they've sold out to fat cats and have lost the essence of their music.

it's all pretentious bollocks like, I just like to be the cool guy who knows all the new bands before anyone else. ;)

  5. Fans of one prem club slagging off another prem club.

What a shocker! Whatever next  B)

but it's a little odd to be mocking a team that are not rivals about failing to get into Europe... I didn't see any threads dedicated to Spurs failure to acheive European competition, or Birmingham... or Blackburn...

but lets not let facts get in the way of a nice sweeping statement eyh? ;)

  6. Techno, mainly because people don't really understand the term and assume it's all 2Unlimited type shite.

    7911

tbh I'm in that group, care to enlighten us Alex?

what's the difference between techno, house, Hard house? ;)

  7. I think I speak for Rob W aswell if I say that £20m at todays prices when we're massively overstocked in midfield makes sense, but JJ could have been a top class central midfielder if he'd had the right management/self discipline.

Indeed you may speak for me Mr Fish

now if you'll also pay of my credit card bill aswell..............

    7923

I'll pay your bills if you sort out a greencard, a Cadillac and a digital camera.....

    I'm a man with a plan ;)

  8. should read the following paragraph for explanation

ok well mooshine is an alcoholic beverage and I've bought a four pack to have with chicken drumsticks that I had doused in Jamaican Jerk sauce, so that with the seasoned potato wedges were the spicey lunch that I just ate... which required alcohol to quash the flames in my throat

  9. howay Papa, tell us your real feelings.

nothing new to add here, just to say that the buying and selling this summer has not given me any hope for next season. We've let too many first team players go and brought in squad players (with the exception of Parker, Boumsong and Emre)...

the big issue for me is that those players that we have let go have not been replaced adequately.

    Bellamy - No-one

    Robert - No-one

    Hughes - Moore?

    Ambrose - No-one

    O'Brien - Moore?

    Butt - Parker or Emre

I've been assured that Emre prefers the center of the park so he's no replacement for Robert.

Coco could be a sound signing, and he strikes me as a player of the calibre and experience we've needed, but has he not been signed to replace Babayaro? and if so, why the feck did we sign the lazy nigerian bastard in the first place?

Moore is a shocking signing. no more no less to say on that.

Viduka/Anelka.. I can't see them scoring the 20 goals we'll need from a front man, and they don't have the team spirit to work their bollocks off and provide goals for other players. They don't strike me as being particularly useful when it comes to repairing a "fractured" dressing room, and forgive the terminology but it's Souness', they look for more cancerous, than Hughes, Bellamy et al.

this whole thing stinks to high heaven and this season looks more and more like it's going to be Newcastles worst in the Premiership.

the fault lies with two men, Grame Souness and the man who appointed him, both have to go and both have to go before Xmas

  10. I can see both sides here, JJ jasn't been performing to the level we expected from him and £10m is a fair price for the player that he could be. You have to wonder though, if managers of Wenger/Ferguson and Jol's calibre are interested.. maybe there is some talent in there after all?

He's certainly got the basis to be a great player, but seems 10% short in all areas. He certainly will not find that 10% working under these coaches and this manager,a dn he wont want to stick it out if the fans don't want him. He's still young and has I truly see the potential in him to be something special.

I'm not sure we're going to sell him before the window closes and if that's true I expect him to stay for another season under the new boss, whoever comes in at Xmas.

The problem for me is the reason he's leaving, he's not being sold for footballing reasons.. so all this talk about him not being good enough or underperofrming is not the reason he's going. It's a falling out with Souness by the sounds of things. Another one.

I think Jenas' major problem is that he never knew his role at the club, he wasn't a defensive midfielder who was ordered to hold in front fo the back four while more delicate midfielders surged forward, nor was he given license to roam and he certainly was not played alnog side a defensive midfielder and told to play from our box to theirs.

I'm a firm beliver that if you don't know your specific job, you will perform at all. That's why I prefer Keegan to Robson, Batty was clearly bought and instructed for one prupose, as was Ginola, Kilcline etc. How many players have we had that can play "anywhere", "Utility" players.. They're the jack of all trades and the masters on none. Jenas would have benefitted from a Batty or even prolonged appearances beaside Gary Speed in the center of the park. Told, "Jenas, you pick up the ball from Defender/Defensive Midfielder and you carry/pass/work the ball up to the strikers/attacking midfielders"

He's got the engine, he can tackle (if he wasn't so afraid of getting hurt or booked), he can pass, he's got good feet, he's got a shot, he's not pondersome and he's got more height than your average central midfielder.

He goes and we get £10m, fair enough.. he goes for £5m I'd be VERY disappointed in both Shepherd and Jenas. If, like I suspect, he stays for another season or so and he gets to play a consistant role in the first team then I reckon we'll see a marked improvement.

P.S. Freddy just stated that we've had no transfer request from JJ

  11. is judging me without factoring in vairables like; time, levels of exhaustion, apathy, distraction... nor does he seem at all considerate of the fact that poor spelling is like xmas wrapping, it's that which is inside that counts, not how it is presented.

oh and the famous person above sucks a big fat woody ;)B)

  12. I get ripped for reading comics, for still being infatuated with an ex, I get ripped for the large number of girls that I have had "relations" with, I get ripped for being really good mates with my dad.

but then I rip everybody about everything, I am impossibly masoginistic and revel in awkward silences... I fucking love them....

    so alls fair I suppose
