I still reckon Faye should get some games at DMC seeing as Sam converted him into a CB, he's always looked more comfortable as a DMC for me. Butt played reasonably yesterday but he's been pretty shit as of late.

Agreed, when we got the ball to him he kept it =) the trouble is with Owen dropping back to midfield because his legs are gone, Martins on the left wing, and no bodies from Midfield getting involved, Viduka's hold-up play wasn't as effective as it could have been =)

fucking hell. Geremi must be about fucking 40. Seriously, he must have snuck into the REal Madrid youth team at 30 and looked like some prodigy so got a chance in their first team. He hobbles about as if his knees are about to go any minute, and fuck me, how many times does he want to hit the first man from a corner?!
We needed to bring Zog on for Geremi not Martins, as we may have had a chance of snatching a win because they were woeful in the second. =/

Yeah, I remember last season when Duff was played left back a couple of times and looked competent there. Would do a better job than Zog for sure, just cause of his experience there in the past for Blackburn if I remember correctly? Zog is a handful for any fullback going forwards, but he can't consistently put crosses in if he isn't consistently playing on the left wing!
I don't understand why Enrique wasn't played in many of the games this season against lesser opposition that seemed to be perfect for him to play in? Maybe he really is just completely shocking in training and practice games...

The problem once again was the middle of the park. Delighted to see Faye back, but he was played in the wrong fucking position. He needs to be our holding midfielder, with Zog alongside him in the centre. These days for the CM in a prem team, energy and physicality is such a necessity and all Barton and Butt can do is give away the ball and foul and stroll about at one pace all game.
The defence is always under pressure because of how feeble we are in the middle of the park, this has been plain to see for most of the season so it pains me to see nothing being done about it.

Smith, Barton, Butt & Carr could well do with never playing for us again. To think, about 17m was spent on those 4, what's worse, is they are probably all among the highest earners at the club =/

I hope Harper starts against ManUtd. There is no point, even the slightest doubt, of Given starting and then pulling up once again. For me, Harper has been the better keeper since that big lump Harewood gave Given car-crash wounds.

All this talk that Sam gave, and Kev gave it when he came also. We need to find 'proven' EPL players. We';ve done this for the past few years FFS; Parker, Duff, Bowyer, Butt, Woodgate, Carr, Smith, Barton, Viduka, Owen etc.... We've wasted a lot of fucking money and wages on these proven players and for some reason it hardly ever works out with us. If these players were still top notch then the wouldn't have been flogged to us.
We need to find some more quality foreign players because quite frankly, especially the English ones, can't play the football that we 'crave', the football that Arsenal and Man Utd play. It's obvious to me that with proper scouting, we will save money on better players than are already in the EPL so we don't have to pay over-the-odds for over-the-hill money-grabbers.
Let's hope Morshley and the minions recognise this and don't make the same mistakes FS has made for the past few years...

When asked whether Newcastle were even a decent club he replied.No as a business they are crap. Really awfull basket case. As a football club they are amongst the worst in Europe. No club with that income do as badly. Anywhere, in the planet. Liverpool and Real Madrid have a genuine history. NUFC do not. End of story. It is like comparing the guitarist from busted to John McLaughlin... What a sad case.

Sad to say but i've never owned a Jazz although I dig the sounds that come out of it, and it doesn't get more versatile either =)
I have a couple too many basses at the moment so unless I offload some I won't be adding to the collection, especially as I've only really been playing 'toon-bass' (avatar) for the past 9 months or so.

I think central midfield is our biggest problem like. It's where so many games are won and lost. It's been a problem for a while now too.
To be honest i think i'd just stick Faye and N'Zogbia in there. The rets of them have been shite for the vast majority of the season, but Faye looks like he can play the defensive mid role and pass a football reasonably and Zog is capable of attacking/creating which you can't say for most of what's been playing there. And if people say Zog isn't a natural central player or doesn't belong there do they really think he'll be worse than Barton et al?
I quite like that idea. We wouldn't get over-run like recent weeks for sure.
I DO LIKE THE SOUND OF ZOG IN THE MIDDLE WITH FAYE BUT DIVNT YOU THINK ZOG WILL BE A LITTLE LIGHT WEIGHT IN THERE? NOT GOING TO WIN MANY HEADERS AND BREAK MUCH UP.... FAYE CANT DO IT ALL.

easy with the caps mate, contrary to popular belief it makes it harder - not easier to read.
Zog and Faye in the centre would be my choice as well with Duff looking slightly like the player of old. Physically this is by far our strongest option in midfield, and their defensive and attacking attributes would compliment each other well. The middle of the park is somewhere we have been needing to address for years and is part of the reason the defense is always under the kosh, this and Given's kicks.
I'd love KK to be bold and just ditch Barton and Butt because they havnt performed recently. Go for something new, try Zog and Faye!

The decision to play Carr ahead of Enrique was ridiculous. He must be the laziest bastard on earth in training cos from what ive seen of him hes the best LB at the club by a mile!
