  1. One step forward four steps back!!

Words starting with the letter 'D' say it all.

    Depressing.

    Diabolical.

    Doh.

    Dire.

    Disenchanting.

    Dejected.

    Damn.

    Defective.

    Deflated.

The list goes on in reference to the Dismal Display today. The Defence is like a sieve with its holes getting bigger with erosion.

Why Keegan did not play Viduka will remain a mystery until we find out the reason.

Why he did not start Enrique rather than Carr is another mystery.

Mysteries galore today, why wasn't Emre brought on sooner, why didn't Faye feature at all, why didn't Enrique feature at all??

In all honesty, even after Owen's early goal I don't think we ever looked like we could win, the improvement shown in our last two games looked to have Disappeard doon the netty.

Enrique has been injured. Viduka has been injured. And shite. Faye has been away and I'm guessing KK was trying to keep Cacapa and Taylor playing to get some sort of understanding. Obviously things didn't work out but I can understand why those choices were made. Agree about Emre though because Barton was diabolical.

Faye needs to play at DMC in place of Butt. He keeps the ball better, and provides MUCH height in defensive and attacking situations.

  2. Mohamed Aboutreika.

".....and one creative type in Mohamed Aboutreika (Egypt and El-Ahly) to unpick defensive locks. Like fellow Egyptian Essam El-Hadary, Aboutreika has spent most of his career at El-Ahly, but this Africa XI needs a creative midfielder, so “the Egyptian Zidane” gets the nod."

    Again wouldn't be massive money.

Nominated for African footballer of the year 2006

"Aboutreika, who is Egypt's newest idol according to the FIFA.com expression[1], was nominated to win the 2006 CAF African Footballer of the Year award. Mohamed Aboutreika had been nominated for the Award along with Chelsea striker Didier Drogba and Barcelona forward Samuel Eto'o."

Starting tonight in the AM role. :P

don't care what league he plays in, geezer looks like he can make things happen: http://youtube.com/watch?v=AUxLraKhMoU&feature=related

I'd risk a couple mill on him, doesn't look like too much of a push-over either.

  3. After the Scotland - Italy game I thought Hutton was the Scottish Cafu and he could also make himself a handful in the air, gutted he went to Spurs. However, as someone said earlier in the post we have the mighty Beye and he has been immense after a shaky start, can't wait for him to get back in the side.

  4. Lazio have made a dramatic late swoop for Newcastle United defender David Rozehnal.

The Biancocelesti had been looking for reinforcements for the back line after loaning Guglielmo Stendardo to Juventus for the remainder of the season.

With the transfer deadline looming, President Claudio Lotito has revealed that towering Czech international Rozehnal has joined the capital club.

“We have signed Rozehnal from Lazio despite problem in communicating by fax,” the Lazio chief declared on Sky Sport Italia.

“The confirmation was lacking for a while, but in the end everything went well and we have an excellent new defender who will strengthen the squad and increase the competition for places at the club.”

I cannot see us letting him go at this stage and with no replacement. Though if they want to swap with Pandev I am all for it. :icon_lol:

Too right, Him + 7 mill or so to take Pandev away from them... fingers crossed eh?

  5. --------------------------------James

    Richards-----------Ferdinand---------Campbell-----------A Cole

    Bentley------------Gerrard-----------Hargreaves---------J Cole

    ------------------------Rooney

    -------------------------------------Owen

We still haven't got a physical and pacey out and out forward that is scoring goals for his club side =/ Maybe if Darren Bent had moved to a club that would play him and recapture some of that form he showed for Charlton in patches then he could be the answer but it's stil worrying how little genuine quality we have up front (bar Rooney).

Looking forward to see how he has the team lined up even though it's just a friendly.

  6. Warning: we knicked Hugo Viana from under the noses of the european giants and look what we did for his career.

this geezer looks like he can handle the cold tho =)

Looks some player judging from You-tube (I know....so did luque etc etc etc blah blah). Always nice to have another skillful young midfielder. I doubt he is coming =(

  7. sounds like a cock-sucker to me and one of our best performers this season after his shaky start has been Beye!

Surely we need to sign a promising young right back (preferably black, quick, and french) to learn from Beye before he hangs up his boots in a few years.

  8. Funny that David, where you consider it a dream playing in midfield, in reality it was a fucking nightmare.

A bit harsh mate, considering it's his first performance at CM (arguably the most challenging position to play) in the most physical league in the world. Of course he was no Didi Hamann, but I thought he didn't have the worst of games and although gave the ball a way a fair bit (who hasn't at CM for us this season) he found a few decent passes in the game and cleaned up a little bit in front of the back four.

  9. isnt there a place for the team with best diciplinery record too?

Wouldn't hold my breath for us winning that one, even if it still existed.

    Hahaha fair point like!

I still think if your runner up against an already european qualified team u get into europe, not sure like.

Not forgetting Butt and Joey Fucking Barton =/
