  1. They even shut Barrack Road for it last neet. What a joke. Not the torch like, just the Olympics some gate or something.
  2. Her face too the second before it goes to Jeff
  3. Aye I noticed he's a proper dyed in the wool Sunderland tewny as well.
  4. On the news last night apparently. I could have written her script. Imagine the 400,000 mackems eating their tea watching this last neet, from one of their own too.... http://yfrog.com/jv3p9z
  5. With Redknapp, the rumours surrounding their players now too, they'll fall back imo.
  6. http://www.thesun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/news/4420369/In-your-dreams-team.html Just seen this now.
  7. There's no way on earth we'd let Cisse go for less than £30m. Fact of life that. Goal a game in a strange country. Berbatov was £30m five years ago man.

  9. Right 3 points for every trophy winner. 1 point for every correct position/also promoted team
  10. Have you been doing crystal meths again? Cisse 10-15m, he's the best finisher in English football.
  11. I think when you look at football deals these days, £15m is a fair price for him. Just read an article from a kid on the nufcfans banner, basically saying (and this is in all seriousness) he was asked by NUFC to play shit for 18 months and we'd bring him home for half the price
  12. Nar am playing football over that way later.
  13. 4 till 5. This bloke right if you've ever seen the film Money Train, he looked like the transit captain who controls the trains movements, and his nickname, I won't say it but it's a nationality.
  14. I'm still in two minds whether looking like a polliss is a compliment or an insult to be honest.
  15. THE GIBSIDE is probably the best place on Tyneside to have a drink, or a function in my view. If I was loaded I'd consider living in Whickham like, beautiful place. I'll possibly be in there the neet as it happens if you're in the area cos I know you live near Whickham.
  16. I was in the Fox yesterday too. This old cunt right honest to god, he came over to me and me pal, looked at me and went "are you CID?", I says do I look like a copper?!?!! He gans right we'll play a game I ask you a question and you can ask me a question. I says ye can fuckin play the game yesel, I was rude, but that's twice in SIX WEEKS that I've been in a pub and someone has asked me if I'm a copper. The bloke came back over and apologised, he said he'd been inside and was carrying enough in his coat to get 4 years inside. 62 year old!!! This is Newcastle.
  17. I was in the Denton yesterday as it happens. I like the Denton, but you need a replacement for the Green Tree and the Howlett, because you get all the rogues migrating from Pendower and Scotchy to the Denton and the Fox which are two good pubs.
  18. Are they connected to Big Lamp Brewery? There's loads of nice places for a Sunday afternoons scran with your lass within 25 mile of everyone. Been to some lush places this year. The Punch Bowl at Edmondbyers, to be honest there's fuck all there, but the scran at this place is top draw 10a for a Sunday dinner. You're literally on the doorstep of the Pennines though, and from Edmondbyers head towards Stanhope, I'm not shitting you, you can literally see the whole North East, from the Northern Cheviots to the toon, to the The Cleveland Hills sloping away at Redcar. There's lots of lovely little places between Rowlands Gill and Consett you would never think of going, very nice place that does dinners just off the Derwent Path walk, and loads of other places near Shotley Bridge, there is a BELTA Italians at the bottom we went tee forget its' name though. I'd recommend anyone do the Derwent Walk though, it's so nice you forget you're in England, especially on a sunny day. Last time I did it I came back looking like Garth Crooks. My fav all time country place for scran though is the Wellington at Riding Mill, best food ever, totally lush setting with the biggest beer garden you've ever seen.
  19. Haha aye. He'd probably want royalties or something though.
  20. Is it? I bet you had to google it. Japanese name like SHARP. I don't even know if they still exist. Even Virgin Money is a good sponsor for us, but they're not world wide. I actually think Sunderland having "Invest in Africa" on their shirts will do them no harm at all, better than Tombola, Boyle Sports or Vaux Samson anyway.
  21. The two posts above add to what I was saying. I don't understand how we as a club can do better every season or most seasons than we did last year. People that read this board know my feelings, apart from Man Utd no club has a true fanbase better than us, none of them would average 44,000 in the CCC, but over a decade of Champions League success of varying degrees have put Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man Utd in the psyche of every sports fan in the world. Even Liverpool are. We aren't and these clubs are exploiting global markets with turnovers double and treble ours. We're playing friendlies at some social club in Austria that's a 5a to get in Man Utd are playing the best teams in South America in front of 80,000. I don't think the money you generate directly from global markets is the key thing for a truly massive club, I think the exposure you receive around the world means you can demand far greater sponsorship deals because the whole world is aware of you. It's years since Man Utd had an exclusively British sponsor like "SHARP" because they're a worldwide institution. We did as well as we can last season and we should be proud of the players rather than worrying about our possible slump back to 7th or 8th, when if everyone is completely honest about it, there are presently 6 bigger clubs than us, with bigger budgets and bigger turnovers, none of that is Shepherd's fault and none of it is Ashley's fault and it's where we will remain unless we can consistently play in Europe and consistently come top 5, which (at this moment in time) is monumental over achievement.
  22. I mind when I was a kid, they used to show England U15s on once a year at Wembley normally against someone like Brazil. It was a big thing, 100,000 there often. Twice we played Brazil and Pele was quoted as saying "Rod Thomas" who's career highlight was playing for Carlisle, and Julian Joachim would rock world football.
