Hmm well that drives the point even more. Say the wage bill is £1.3m, that's £70m a year in wages, I'd be amazed if their income was anywhere near that.
-
I'm only guessing here but looking at their squad, I've had a guestimate at what each one earns, will be higher and lower for some in reality but if I'm vaguely right a club who get 18,000 max at every home game are paying out £838k a week in wages. Even if it's £100k either way how the fuck is that going to stand up when FFP comes in? 1 GK Robert Green - England International 30k 2 MF Samba Diakité - 20k 3 DF Armand Traoré - 20k 4 MF Shaun Derry - 8k 5 DF Anton Ferdinand - 25k 6 DF Clint Hill (vice-captain) - 10k 7 MF Park Ji-Sung (captain) - 50k 8 FW Andrew Johnson - 35k 9 FW Djibril Cissé - 60k 10 MF Adel Taarabt - 20k 11 MF Shaun Wright-Phillips - 50k 12 FW Jamie Mackie - 10k 14 MF Esteban Granero - 20k 15 DF Nedum Onuoha - 20k 17 DF Ryan Nelsen - 40k 18 FW Loïc Rémy - 80k 19 DF José Bosingwa - 70k 20 DF Fábio (on loan from Manchester United) - 20k 21 DF Tal Ben Haim - 36k 22 MF Hogan Ephraim - 10k 23 MF Junior Hoilett - 30k 25 FW Bobby Zamora - 40k 26 GK Brian Murphy - 4k 28 DF Max Ehmer - 4k 29 MF Michael Doughty - 4k 32 MF Alejandro Faurlín - 10k 33 GK Júlio César - 30k 34 FW Rob Hulse - 25k 37 FW Jay Bothroyd - 20k 39 FW DJ Campbell - 10k 40 DF Stéphane Mbia - 25k

Class, is that him who used to make the Indian noises?
-
Eh?
-
I said Yuran! We tried to sign for £1.5m, pleased we didn't he ended up at Millwall playing shit a few years later. First black player to play for Newcastle?
-
Haha. Is that you in a Galatasaray top?
-
Would'VE, not would OF. You complete fuckwit. When I think of you which is never to be fair, I picture a humourless Wurzel Gummidge type. Have you even been to Newcastle? You'll have to send me a link to this "breakdown", if you're referring to my tiff with Ant, pipe down son. Don't think, it does you no favours. 5,299 posts, and I can't remember one. That's honest as well, I can't remember anyone even replying to you, you complete dullard insignificance.

Same rate as Glasgow???? Are you serious. You say you live in Scotland too?
-
As I said on twitter, Bayern are a plastic club with most of Germany behind them. They have the potential to be the biggest club in the world, and they now have a manager who has been as successful as any other over a short period of time, they could rule world football. Interesting they had no history 40 odd years ago, and were the second team in their own city, just shows what marketing and money can do for you. Maybe Rafa has a chance of keeping the Chelsea job after all too.

Anyone who thinks the social problems on Tyneside, particularly drug related problems are ANYWHERE near the levels of the Central Belt of Scotland hasn't got a clue. I've never known a heroin addict in my life, go to Glasgow they're right there in front of you.
-
Are you thick? "Took you long enough", it took me one google you idiot, of course it adds to the fact that they're not producing. If the average kid isn't as healthy and young kids have a greater interest in drugs and drink of course it will effect it. Cities which have the greatest sense of rivalry often produce the best sportsmen and it's not dependent on size neither whether it's Buenos Aires or Glasgow.
-
Mens fitness magazine. My god. I think this gives you a better representation of health in each city, and utterly vindicates my point. http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2010/oct/20/uk-life-expectancy-estimates As a bloke you're expected to live 6 years longer if you're a geordie than if you're from Glasgow.

Cut my post to pieces with facts you cheeky cunt. Scottish lifestyles (particularly in the West of Scotland) are acknowledged as being the least healthy in Western Europe. Please contradict it with factual things rather than with the tones of a depressed 50 something chump living in Edinburgh. I've got family all over Scotland as it goes. Eyemouth, Pitlochry, Stirling, Kilmarnock etc.... Do you think the fact kids are no longer playing football on the streets like they used to as much, and live in a country acknowledged for having a huge section of the population who lead lifestyles to the extremes collectively not seen elsewhere, has no effect on the amount of talent they can produce? Only an idiot would deny that is one of the fundamental problems.
-
If you look at Scotland though they produced some of the best players in the world two generations ago. Kenny Dalglish, Denis Law, Jimmy Johnstone, Hughie Gallagher going back further. I mean had Scotland got to the World Cup in 1966, who is to say they couldn't have won it. The Lisbon Lions were all Scottish and they became European champions the next year. I think the problem with Scotland now, is it is a country of extremes. Their are parts of Glasgow where the life expectancy is 49. Go anywhere in Europe and you won't find more fat people than in parts of Scotland. Drugs are a major part of Scottish life, while lets be honest there's more alkees in Scotland per head than anywhere else in the world. Everything is done to extremes. Heroin, alcohol, fatty foods etc...kids have become lazy, and from being a conveyor belt of world class talent, you have a country who pull themselves when some who can trap a ball at 17 comes to the fore. How many times have you heard Charlie Miller is going to be a world class talent, or young John Fleck is? Loads. Scotland will never produce top players until kids there start living healthy lifestyles.

The CL started in 1992 though. Just had a look on his wiki page 17 goals in the CL bound to be him.
-
Why would they lie about him being booed. Backward corrupt banana state who will never get the malvinas.
-
P has to be Papin, won it twice I think. Defo did with OM. Jardel might be J he scored loads for Porto. U I can only think Utaka, and Umit Davala but he was a defensive midfielder. Y Yuran who we tried to sign?
-
Over 9 months in captivity, shoes too small to fit his feet. His body abused but his mind is still free. Are you so blind that you cannot see? I said freeeeeee
-
Good crack the way Ben Arfa has just said Everton and QPR are small clubs though. Like it.
-
Whey aye. Imagine that here there'd be riots. In France they're all communists at heart anyway as Ginola once said. They don't mind foreigners having money in Monaco, but they spit on the floor if they think you're French and filthy rich.
-
Where do you draw the line with this aye we'd all do the same? No we wouldn't. If Man Utd came in for him now and offered him the wage we have, he'd go there on a lot less money than he would at QPR. That's a fact in my view. Which goes back to my Keegan point, if Keegan was here he'd have signed by now, absolute fact. We have an arsehole in Derek Llambias and his boss, with no affiliation to Newcastle or the area, talking brutal hard numbers with agents. Look at John Beresford man he turned down Liverpool and more money to come here BECAUSE of Keegan. FFS had the charm and selling ability, these don't. They're Reggie Perrin types the pair of them.
-
Hmm today's Evening Standard are suggesting that as far as Newcastle and even Remy are concerned, he's still not made his mind up.
-
Reminds me of the time Distin signed for Man City because they were a "bigger club", yet we were going in to the Champions League and they'd just been promoted. Nowt to do with the wage offer being double ours. You can all say well we'd go for the money, what about Messi then? He was offered £600,000 a week to go to Russia, he said no fuck off, I'm happy on 200k at Barcelona. Anyone who has been on 20k a week for five years should be set up for life anyway, and Remy clearly has.
-
That's a definite RGP, and hard to disagree with any of it, however, he's still a mercenary cunt. Where's his professional integrity? Peter Beardsley signed for the toon on £3500, when Derby offered him £6000 to go there. I know he has no emotional attachment to the club, but he'll look a cunt when QPR get relegated. Sad that people are more driven by money these days than they used to be. Keegan would've had him sold on the club before they'd even discussed terms as well.
