Not really, it's him that's not appealing to watch at times not the position. He frequently positions himself deep in their box, and often gets the ball there but generally with a defender anywhere near him he takes too long to do anything whether it's pass or shoot.

I'd absolutely keep him here. It's odd though, I think he gets a fair bit of stick too, but I'd say a fair bit of it is warranted though he doesn't get some of the credit he also deserves. Been overall poor here though, Miggy too. The rest have been OK given we're working in limited space against opposition who have been very good positionally.

He was half decent at most everything. Including getting injured unfortunately.

His value to us this season has been huge. Quite bizarre if you compare to last season. He hasn't had to make a huge amount of difficult saves, but his distribution has been brilliant which has made a big difference to our overall play. I think the most likely outcome at this point is he will stay here until the end of the season and we'll look to bring in a highly regarded young keeper to initially be Pope's understudy (but with better ability on the ball and distribution). I'd saying calling him lucky to be on the pitch is downplaying it. In my opinion that has to be deemed cynical, because whilst there is a small chance he gets to the ball first (he doesn't) coming in like that is saying either I get this ball or more likely, I get the player and take them out of the play and that makes it cynical. Anyway, always good for there to be some controversy that doesn't involve us. You should always be able to look at a tackle and apply the necessary penalty regardless of what comes before or after it. It's so easy to do, playing advantage is supposed to be playing advantage to the attacking team. Here the advantage is clearly in favour of the defensive team.
