  1. He was granted a visa based on information that was provided before departing ie. saying I'm medically exempt from being vaccinated because I have had coronavirus within the last x weeks or possibly something to that effect. Then upon landing he's been asked to provide evidence of the information provided and has not been able to, hence the visa has been cancelled. I think that's approximately the summary.
  2. The Australian regime of "if you say you have a legitimate medical exemption please provide evidence". The best but is he's absolutely desperate to play here because he generally crushes it and was a super strong chance of winning and going clear on 21 slams. An amazing tennis player but a bell end on the court and it seems off it.
  3. I work from home, have been since early 2020. I'm young, fit and healthy. I took the vaccine because medical professionals expressed with copious amounts of evidence that being vaccinated was going to result in the best possible health outcomes for all, especially the elderly and the unwell. I sought out getting it as soon as possible (had to wait a while due to my age) and was vaccinated with both doses. When I'm due my booster I will be getting it. I continue to work from home. I go out to the shops for food etc, visit family (including my parents who were another tick in the box for getting vaccinated - they too were vaccinated as soon as possible, they're retired) and don't do a whole bunch more apart from playing social sport when restrictions allow it. I'm not a doctor or in health care so I listen to what the experts in the field advise, doing my own reading along the way and looking at the countless example countries around the world where the results of a variety of different approaches are evident. In particular I have been interested in what's happening in England because through this forum I have a conduit to it.
  4. You've already proved you know next to nothing, you can rest your case.
  5. What narrative are you referring to? The one where millions of people have died due to the ongoing global pandemic? Pointing out someone else who may or may not be worse than you doesn't make your decision a better one, or you less selfish.
  6. No, I didn't say anything remotely similar. Let me dumb it down for you as you seem to have selective comprehension issues; not doing what the medical fraternity advises with current health crises (when on an individual or societal level) will generally result in poor health outcomes. Sometimes those long term outcomes will be for you, sometimes they will be for other more vulnerable members in the community. Luckily most members of society are intelligent enough to realise this which makes up, in part, for the dead weight like you, who would otherwise be dragging everyone down. Some people are selfish and lack empathy, they're of the narcissistic "got mine, fuck everyone else" child like mentality whether or not they know or accept it. Dressing it up like an individual health concern doesn't fool anyone.
  7. Just answer the question, it's not a difficult question. I didn't ask for your medical history. You're right, you're not alone, you're no doubt in some sort of echo chamber with like minded people espousing the same counter authority rhetoric to cover for being scared/silly/anti-intellectualist or whatever it happens to be.
  8. There's many long term studies and countless evidence that being counter medicine has very bad long term health outcomes but hey, don't let that worry you at all.
  9. I don't smoke, I'm not obese and I have the occassional drink, don't remember the last time I was properly drunk. But none of this is even remotely relevant. Even if I did all of the above at once whilst bonnet surfing down the highway the NHS should be safe.
  10. Have you had a competent medical professional diagnose this and advise you not to take the vaccine? Have they also determined that the magical anti-vaxxer vaccine that is always on the horizon is safe for you and your "specific medical reasons" or are you talking absolute horse shit?
  11. Do you think the vaccines have saved lives? If everyone was of your mindset how many more people would have died? It's as simple as that. If you don't want to act in the interest of general society's health and well-being then why should you enjoy the other benefits that come from being in one? The truth is that authorities have to cater for the lowest common denominator when it comes to governing and you're putting yourself into that category with your current position. Rayvin's post illustrates this nicely. You're not being asked to be an expert in healthcare, you're being asked to trust the countless years of collective research analysis and experience from the experts in the field and to act accordingly. You can't simply operate under a "dumb down a complex issue into something that makes sense to me" model because there's too much at risk and your actions extend beyond your own welfare.
  12. As well as being partially wrong this is classic anti-vaxxer talk. Have you ever been to a Dr and thought this Dr is not very good? Or are all Drs equal? So is it that the handful that say the opposite to the thousands and thousands that are right because they're the only ones who are competent or not corrupt? Or are you listening to those not very good (or worse) Drs? One thing this pandemic has proved to me is how many misguided or logic lacking people are out there. Thankfully the majority of folk are considerate enough to take on the small risk that vastly reduces the much bigger risk for the elderly, immunocompromised or those with significant comorbidities. Hopefully we can move beyond this soon and the selfish, ill-informed can go back into hiding. The above paragraph is not a shot at you Asprilla, as I've only seen part of your opinion.
  13. Kids can't socially distance.
  14. When I saw how many people died wearing seatbelts I immediately stopped wearing one, sheeple.
  15. Even it's only an agreement between us and Atletico Madrid and the real fee is much higher, I'm all for it. With the exclusive from Diego we know they're party to some interesting approaches....
  16. That tweet has aged about as well as Edwards himself.
  17. Questions are now being asked Until now they have been beyond reproach.
  18. It's a necessary move based on a whole raft of short sighted tight arsed moves.
  19. Can you imagine the players chipping in to get their own (shared personal) football manager adjacent to Bruce. It's pretty much what Jones was in the end, except he was funded by Ashley in one of his classic attempts to paper over the cracks.
  20. You say "his own" almost as though Bruce included one on his coaching staff*. I suppose his Slimming World consultant kind of counts as a fitness coach of sorts... * No offense to the fitness coach during Bruce's tenure, I'm sure they were a lovely person.
  21. I feel like this will curse him, but for all his everpresence and more recently his running and battling he has a very good injury record. The kind that goes hand in hand with being the level of professional that we're now learning that he is.
  22. And that smokey sax track has me in the mood for some peak 90s erotic thriller sex scenes.
