  1. Anyone know how long the roadworks are going to be on the A1 at Washington services for and what their purpose is? Can't find anything on the net, they just appeared over the weekend and are pissing me off!!
  2. The last known survey of kits sales was 96, we out sold Celtic 3:1, but that was then, I would doubt the other way round to be honest. I think Celtic could make more on internet stuff though. I'm pretty sure Celtic have loads of supporters clubs internationally. Plus half (exaggeration i know) of the population of Ireland must buy them - so there's a load of kits bought. Newcastle are predominantly a localised support so aren't as I said going to get anywhere near celtic in terms of shirt sales. As the guy above me says I think you'd struggle to buy a Newcastle shirt in USA but would find a Celtic one relatively easily.
  3. I very much doubt that Newcastle make anywhere near what Celtic make on merchandising and related i.e. kit sales
  4. Hello all, Just a quick query. I ordered 4 tickets yesterday off the website for my uncle and cousins for the Chelsea game and was wondering if I'd have them tomorrow or friday as I need to post them up the road to him. Anyone any ideas as to how long they normally take to arrive?
  5. Surely you're only allowed 2 players on loan - we've already got Nacho so there must only be 1 coming in? Or have I missed something?
  6. Where does everyone who drives normally park for this one? And does everyone drive the route google suggest - coming off the a1 at Harrogate and going across country?
  7. What's the best way to get down to Smogland for the game at the end of the month? I'd normally drive but can't be arsed this time. Train? Bus?
  8. Cheers I'll probably park there, Found an alternative next to Anfield/Stanley Park if necessary
  9. Hey all, 3 of us off to Everton on Sunday and was wondering if anyone knows a good place to park that's secure reasonably near the ground? Don't fancy leaving it in the streets round Stanley Park!
  10. Wrong! Citeh? Plus you can hardly call getting the England job walking away from Fulham. Well you can but you've got to be a sports journalist, a psychotic dwarf or Mike Ashley. He resigned from City. I'll concede point about not walking away from Fulham as he was going to the England job. The point about the clamour for the England job as I seem to recall (but not very well) is that there was no-one English that anyone else wanted. Plus to be honest you can't really judge how well he was doing at the top level considering Fulham weren't in the Premiership at the time. What does that even mean. The reason that there was no one else that anyone wanted is because they all wanted Keegan. The only way people can spout this crap about him walking away at the first sign of trouble is because he managed over ten years without getting the sack. The vast Majority of the time at Newcastle and MAncity both legendary for sacking managers at the drop of a hat Come on then, tell me who else was a viable option in 1998/99? Bear in mind that England hadn't had a foreign manager yet so the Daily Mail would've been up in arms if that'd have happened so who else was there?

  12. A clean break is exactly what Newcastle need. Keegan should be confined to the past along with all the other previous failings this club has had. People can rave all night about his passion, getting the best out of players and entertaining football but the cold hard fact is that the only trophies he has ever won are a few 2nd tier championship titles. He hasn't even come close anywhere else to looking like a decent manager and the fact also remains (whatever way you look at it) he has walked away from all his managerial jobs. What Newcastle needs is a new Owner who - like Ashley seemed to be for a while - is going to settle the club down and appoint a promising/proven manager who can push the club forward and consign this horrible episode to the past including the ridiculous notion that to darken the door in the manager's office you need to have a connection with the club or town (I ask you what connection Ferguson and Wenger had with MU and Arse before they were appointed).
  13. Ronseal, I'm a season ticket holder and go woth 2 mates. We are wondering how to apply for away games in one go for all 3 of us? Can you do it on online box office? I can't see how to incorporate other season ticket holders as we'd all want to get our loyalty point?
  14. My mate has his, he lives in Annitsford
