  1. was just talking to a german mate myself who said something like "i dont really care who we play, I always just expect us to win, I don't know why I just do" completely unaware of how much that confirms the stereotype. England need that sort of belief if they are to go any further.
  2. We're out. One of these teams has a clear path to the semi's it should have been us. Ghana Uruguay USA South Korea Gormless fucking cretins have fvked up the easiest WC route gifted on a silver plate by a gold winged eagle. Fuck them. Yup it's an extremely difficult route for England now, getting to the last 8 against Argentina is all that can really be expected now, anything else would be a major success considering the start you had to the tournament.
  3. Remind me, how are Ireland doing in the World Cup? Admit it Kevin, you obsess over England because you hate the fact we're just better in so many ways. Your not though Well, we are. Your team is full of cheaters and scousers. Sacked. shiyiteeee But we are at the World Cup. Say that to me on Saturday dear xx That won't be hard seeing as England don't play again til Sunday you scrote
  4. Very impressed by England today, very good going forward, Milner was fantastic, some of the best crosses of the tournament so far whilst James and Terry looked very assured at the back when needed. However, finishing second is extremely worrying for you guys, even if you do get past the Germans/Ghana etc in the next round I can't see anyone beating Argentina
  5. Another Capello gamble that has backfired. He is not having much luck at the minute, maybe we should send him a few lucky charms. I will donate my lucky wanking sock. It was fucking stupid though. Easy to say in hindsight I suppose but he was taking Ferdinand, who's been out most of the season, he's took King who is always injured and Upson's got a poor record with injuries too. Planning on taking all 3 was daft. Especially when the back-up plan is a lad who's never played for England (Dawson). Strange decisions all-round. Part of the problem was a lot of the alternatives Lescott, Jagielka, Brown etc have been injured for a large part of the season too and King had finally put a decent run of games in so I can see why he still chose him.
  6. 5 more minutes and Switzerland break the "longest period of time being goalless at the world cup" record Havn't conceded a goal in a world cup since 1994
  7. 8 yellows and a red for what isn't a particularly agressive game, madness
  8. They're on top form at the moment like, the one they did of the Vincent Browne show was fantastic (not that anyone but the Irish here will know what that is) And yes, Corden is dreadful, only a matter of time before even the fools who like him are sick of his fat mug imo
  9. The team that beat a decent Croatia side 5-1 is exactly to the side that was put out last night but for Upson instead of Carragher, same formation as well
  10. Adam Johnson was worth a gamble for me. I dont see the point in taking SWP and Lennon. Both identical players. Yeah he should have come instead of having SWP AND Lennon. Although I think Lennon has been one of the better players. Lampard has been INVISIBLE. Well at least Lampard did something so we can make a judgement on his performance last night...he was as piss poor as the rest of them....he really did do his famous disappearing act v USA though. He never seems to truly "want it"...none of them do...theyve all been fuckin corrupted by being multi millionaires at 21 and have lost the hunger you need to acheive at this level. It's not as if the Argentinians/Brasillians/whoever actually wins the wold cup weren't millionaires at a young age too Thats correct to a point, any young lad playing in one of Europes top leagues is going to be a very wealthy individual, but I seriously doubt if any of the cracking young German players playing in the Bundesliga that we've seen play in SA earn anywhere near what Lennon, Walcott or Adam Johnson will be on. Thats the other thing....once the dregs of the alleged "golden generation" have fucked off to count their money who is actually coming up to replace them?..... Well if you fast forward to the next world cup Terry, Cole, G Johnson, Barry, maybe Gerrard, Lennon, Milner, Walcott (if he develops), Defoe and Rooney will all still be in the mix, add to that the ones who come good from the likes of Rodwell, Wilshire, A.Johnson, Shelvey, Sturridge etc In Hart you have a good future no.1 keeper as well.
  11. Think the trouble is that the nature of Lampard's game means he's often invisible and the comes up with something good (for Chelsea anyway) and this looks even worse when he/the team are playing badly as he ends up contributing very little. Still had the only decent chance though.
  12. think it was just a heat of the moment thing out of sheer frustration, too much been made out of it imo
  13. regardless of who should or should not have been in the squad that team should have easily beaten Algeria last night
  14. Adam Johnson was worth a gamble for me. I dont see the point in taking SWP and Lennon. Both identical players. Yeah he should have come instead of having SWP AND Lennon. 15. spot on. After about 2/3 games every world cup someone makes this post. Yup, its ridiculous, even from a ultra-pessimistic view Englands squad is easily one of the top 8 in the world, probably top 5 in truth. Add to the fact that all of those players DO play with other England players in their teams, many of which form the backbone of their teams in the league.
  16. Don't buy the idea that the players arnt good enough for one minute, maybe not good enough to win the competition but certainly good enough to go very far in it. There seems to be some underlying problems in terms of squad harmony, morale etc does anyone else get the impression half the squad despise each other? The issues surrounding numerous key player's personal lives in he last 6 months or so could well be contributing too. All of these are poor excuses on their part to a great extent but I still reckon it's a big issue nonetheless.
  17. the thing is Algeria didn't even do an awful lot themselves, didn't resort to ultra defensive or dirty tactics etc
  18. Shocking performance from Cameroon that, they've actually got a really decent squad but Le Guen's a moron it would seem.
  19. To be fair, if you're from the South-East he's probably funny as fuck. If you're from the North and have superior patter and humour then 'twat' he is, or 'unfunny twat' to be more precise. He's just appauling, if you start to google James Corden is...the first 3 suggestions are "not funny" "a prick" and "fat" says it all really, a fat unfunny prick.
  20. I reckon he'll be dropped for that if James is fit.
  21. Jonas looked poor at right back I thought. Great perfromance from Enyeama, if I remember correctly he was an FM legend at one point
  22. the fact Blanco is still anywhere near their squad says it all, the only hope they have of qualifying is everyone else being really shit this month, which is very unlikely.
  23. He's pants and always has been, only 5ft 7 and the second choice Ochoa is meant to be very promising and is over 6ft, like most keepers, dont know why they still pick Perez.
