I have high hopes for this lad. Just hopes that he can adapt to the physical side of the English game quickly. Saw some of his goals in a compilation that Sky had on before the game yesterday, some of his goals were absoloute quality. If we can get him fit and in form, we will have one hell of a player on our hands. It just remains to be seen if Souness will play him in his right position.

We should get a fitness coach in from Rugby League. The guys who play that sport have got to be one of the fittest sportsmen around, constantly moving for 40 minutes at a time with a 10 minute break inbetween.
Palace employed the former Wakefield head coach, to do fitness training with the side in training and half an hour before the match. It can certainly do no harm to anyone.

RVN was already on his way down before Given touched him. This was clearly visable from the replay.

How come most people are rating Boumsong above Bowyer in here?
Boumsong was awful, made 2 mistakes and was out of position most of the time. £8 Million, we were well and truely ripped off.

Would Dickov be any worse than Shearer in his current form?
It's not just Shearer's bad form, it's also the entire team around him and our tactics, or have you somehow missed that?
Shearer + no supply or support = no goals.

No I haven't. Have you noticed that when we do have posession of the ball in midfield that the complete absence of any movement from Shearer up front leaves the midfield scratching their heads as to quite what to do with the ball?
Or have you somehow missed that? He was by himself, completely isolated, and his only supply was the long ball hoof. What the hell do you expect him to do playing under that system? Of course if we had Bellamy or Robert....
There's no need for any scape goat other than Souness for the mess we are currently in.
Aye, heres me thinking it was FF's fault for not releasing the money for new players, ah well.
