Exactly these "flair players" "tricksters" whatever go out of their way, not to only get passed their direct opponent but to embarrass him in the process. Why are we so crap at simple distribution though??? Very annoying tonight. I'm not necessarily asking that every one of our freekicks end up with a header on target for us, but we do seem to like being the masters of our own downfall at times. Greatest example was that BABA freekick in the first half... weird cross pitch ball straight to Lampard about chest height, straight down the other end, we almost conceded. There were 3-4 incidents in the game like that where in less than 5 seconds the situation went from: FK to us, every one calmly around the ball and waiting - TO - fuck fuck fuck major chance for CHelsea with our blokes desperately scrambling back. Hell, for one of those free kicks that we pinged into the box, our players weren't even ready for it yet... *sigh*

same here... was watching the game and all I could think of was playing left back for Newcastle. letting Robben run down the flank slightly ahead of me and then doing a two footed flying tackle at cheek height. Then stamping him a few times while he was squirming around. Would be the most worthwhile red card ever.

my inital question was where is Taylor supposedly offside from? (it was a real question although may have sounded sarcastic) as I didn't know which way the media/Bburn were trying to claim it was it... and whichever way I looked at it he wasn't offside from that Zoggy pass. And the line is straight enough to consider perspective issues. Taylor is onside as his full body is half level half behind the ball as it's being played. Onside. Sorry to keep at it, but the forward pass thing was never an issue, it's about position of players. Anyway no other player is keeping Taylor onside, he simply is onside by being behind/level with the ball when it's played. Think I'd almost consider myself an expert when it comes to offside as I played for 12 years as a centre back, and used to some give teammates earfuls when they'd constantly fuck up the trap

WRONG! please don't propagate this lie (see diagram posted earlier as a perfect example) Taylor wasn't offside anyway! not because of the direction of the pass but because: a: He was simply onside from Zoggy's pass: b: Zoggy's ball doesn't even go straight to Taylor anyway, comes off Martins and a Blackburn player before it gets to him...
