I'd been knacker deep in my lass in our apartment in Greece from sunrise, popped down to the bar for some lunch to find a couple of Americans crying in front of the TV.

 

Felt bad for about a half hour but I'd just immaced my then lasses fanny so nowt was gonna spoil my mood that day! ;)

 

;)

 

And the world kept turning.

I think most people that heard the news as it very first broke didn't understand the severity of the attack.

 

I'd been to New York in 98 and went to the top - I was working at home in 01 and saw an internet news break about a plane hitting them and I assumed because of what I'd seen when I'd been there that it was light aircraft - possibly tourist - that had fucked up. Went downstairs to check it out and spent the rest of the day there.

 

I think it was the fact that they collapsed that I found the most shocking.

 

I had to fly up the toon from Stansted the next day - that was pretty sobering.

When i fist heard it i didnt have a clue how severe it was!

 

We first heard on the radio on the school bus and we though like 10 people had died or something and i didnt even know what the WTC was till i got home and my and my brother watched it on the news,

 

and i was like ;):icon_lol: :icon_lol: zOMFGGG! etc...

 

 

Totally shocking, watched the second plane hit and same again....

 

Totally surreal!
