Wed have to play him at CB as RB is probably the safest position on the pitch at the minute the way Beyes been playing.

I wouldnt trust us not to turn him into Bramble! ;)

I'd be inclined to play him RB and stick Beye in the centre with Faye.

I think he's overrated personally.

Probably. He's wasted at centre-half anyway. The best aspects of his game is his pace, power and ability to get up and down.

Aye I agree with that.

Just when he's at centre half he's not exactly the most intelligent footballer or a good reader of the game, his pace and power get him out of a lot of things in my eyes which is why I prefer him at right-back.

And he plays alongside Dunne, who has been excellent for the last couple of seasons now.

Manchester City's warning to bad lad Micah Richards

CITY PLEA TO BAD LAD RICHARDS DEFENDER WARNED TO DITCH PARTYING

Darren Lewis 23/01/2008

"Micah Richards has been told to stay away from Manchester 's city centre nightlife if he wants to build on his prodigious talents.

City club chiefs have also ordered the 19-year-old England defender - a target for Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan - to ditch the hangers-on surrounding him after a string of unseemly incidents which Richards has been involved in.

And one of Richards' friends - a former youth trainee at City - has even been banned from the training ground and matches following a spate of unwanted headlines which have blotted the star's reputation.

Richards has been absent from the party scene in Manchester since footage emerged of him and a pal having sex with a fan in a city centre hotel toilet just before Christmas.

It was the most high-profile of a string of incidents involving Richards to have reached the attention of bosses at the

club.

They are worried the right-back and central defender could lose his focus because of the champagne-bling lifestyle being led by some of his friends. It is believed the club feel Richards is being led astray rather than losing his way himself and are trying to guide him rather than throw the book at him.

A source said last night: "Micah is a nice guy but some of the people around him are bad news.

"They go to nightclubs and flash the cash, order bottles of champagne and draw unwanted attention to themselves.

"Micah has got the talent to go right to the very top. But some of the people around him are the kind of people that could drag him right down.

"Everybody has seen good young players like Joey Barton and Titus Bramble go the wrong way because they take their eye off the ball and nobody wants that to happen to Micah."

Richards' future at Eastlands remains in doubt because of his £75,000-a-week pay demand.

The star has still not signed a new five-year contract which has been on the table for the last three months and would have doubled his current £25,000-a-week wages.

The player is under contract until 2010, having signed a new deal 18 months ago.

But he could now be a target for Chelsea, Manchester United or Arsenal, the club he supported as a boy."

If a player relies on pace and power one thing that will destroy those qualities is partying.
