And it was only 7 months ago that the club was up for sale after the fans anger after keegans exit, for a 'mere' 450 million. And now that the sale issue is back up, here are a few figures: PRICE ASHLEY PAID FOR NEWCASTLE UTD - £134.4 MILLION PRICE ASHLEY WANTED IN 2008 - £450 MILLION OFFER REJECTED IN 2008 BY ASHLEY - £200 MILLION RUMOURED PRICE ASHLEY WANTS NOW - £100 MILLION NEW RUMOURD PRICE ASHLEY WANTS - £80 MILLION Now this might not be good for our beloved club. The possible consortiums back in Oct 2008 were not willing to pay the riduculous price tag, but were willing to invest big big money into the club, possibly bigger money than chelsea currently have. Now the greedy, lager lout sports direct owner wants out again but for a reduced price. Now for a tag of 80 million, what other potential owners are we going to attract? Anyone with any money will look at it, especially with how big the club is in the championship.
