Got me thinking, so I'm throwing it out to all the Brian Sewell's on here My initial choice was this; Doesn't have to be a painting btw. Love Bosch. I couldn't believe how old it was. It looks so far ahead of its time. Mental imagery as well. I'm not sure I'd like it hanging above the mantlepiece though.
