Should I go to the doctors

I've had a similar thing with my foot for years, though I don't know what the original cause was. No bruising, just annoying pain every once in a while. Last year I went to see the doctor about it and he sent me for an X-ray. That revealed precisely nothing, so he suggested it may be the way I walk that causes it in some way. He referred me to a specialist but I couldn't be arsed to follow it up.

Can't have been troubling you that much, hope you cancelled your appointment.

I've had metatarsalgia on and off for a few years now; I think it's caused by plantar fasciitis. However, I think I have found the solution - wear sensible walking shoes or boots with a good support rather than trainers. Fingers crossed I have been problem free for nearly a year now.

A few years ago in a factory i worked in there was one lad who nobody could stand.

One day somebody got a load of scrap metal, wrapped it in a boiler suit and put it near the canteen door. When the lad came out the canteen we all stood about 50 yards down the factory floor and shouted for him to kick it back, as if we'd been using it for a football.

It was meant to be funny, however what we didn't anticipate was that he would take a ten yard run and fucking blooter this thing. All you could hear was the sound of subdued laughter dying away as this almighty 'CRACK' was heard as his ankle snapped. :)

The lad that wrapped up the boiler suit got sacked. :(

Last monday, I jumped off this thing (dunno what it was because it was dark) it was about 12 foot high, mabye 15. I landed heavily, as I was wearing shoes, and there was nothing to cushion the blow. The next day I could hardly walk. Now 8 days later my feet are still aching, and it hurts abit when I walk, I also get a shooting pain in my heel when I'm just chilling. Should I go to the doctors or is it probably just badly bruised?

I think that this raises more serious issues than a pain in the foot.

:)

I never had one, he just wrote the name down on a piece of paper and told me to find one. :)

As it happens, it went off shortly after so I ignored it. Still comes back every now and then though.

Ah right, I see. I was referred to a podiatrician who was canny but ultimately no use. I still get the odd twinge but it's not as bad as it was.

Seeing as this is turning into the Toontastic Health Helpline I'll add my ailment.

For a few years now I've been getting a really sharp pain in the upper left side of my chest. It comes on really suddenly but goes away when I scratch it, I mightn't get it for a couple of months but sometimes it can happen a few times a day. Its never really bothered me but no one else seems to ever have had anything like it. Any ideas from our medical staff?
