I’m meant in terms of ousting a player from the starting XI Tino isn’t better than fit Trippier (at the minute) Tosin isn’t better than Schar Kelly isn’t better than Botman Hall is better than Burn/Targett to be fair but it’s taken him a whole season to break into the team. Barnes isn’t any better than Gordon Tonali is the only player that you’d say is better than Longstaff but he hasn’t proven anything in the PL yet.

I don’t think he is better than Pope. It’s okay bolstering your squad but we’ve recently bought players that aren’t any better (or on par) with what we’ve got. Tosin and Kelly fall into that as well. maybe that’s a strategy to mould them into better players.

He is playing this weekend so it must have just been a minor tiff.

It's pretty hard to get a quality backup keeper that is happy to be on the bench. Ideally we'd upgrade Pope and let him be reserve but I doubt he'd be happy with that.

I was implying he was unfit and shouldn’t have played. He is the best full back I’ve ever seen play for us but he was not match fit. It’s a lot different to slagging off every bad decision that Longstaff/Almiron/Burn make. I don’t know what’s going on with him but he only had a weeks training (in Dubai?!) after being out 2.5 months. It’s Howes fault more than anything but maybe he was trying to manage game time between him and Schar. We are completely stretched for personnel at the back.

I’ve woke up still annoyed. This felt quite pivotal. We can’t seem to get our noses past these cunts when it really matters. That’s ingrained in both clubs. Tripper looked like that fat fullback on a Sunday league team that you know used to be good but just doesn’t have the legs anymore. Dubs was shite.
