  1. it it’s £100m to Man City or a foreign club then that’s more palatable. Anyone else is not.
  2. there is no guarantee Tonali will cut the cheese. We are just guessing at this stage and my guess will be that he’ll be back on loan to Italian team within 3 seasons.
  3. I’d imagine he has eyes on Madrid but they are stocked well for CMs. I suspect liverpool will be making a bid for him in January considering they were allegedly knocked back with a £100m offer in the summer. So £100m sounds good on paper but that will just strengthen them.
  4. Aye. So happy he asked for a bargain basement release clause
  5. Just signed a new contract until 2028. Great. However he has a £100m release clause. Fuck.
  6. I can understand it if it was a Wed then Sat game but Tues and Sunday is a bit of a stretch. could easily train Friday? Anyway I’ll let the experts decide
  7. This season? They were level for 3 minutes. But I guess you could say they held them at 0-0 until 60 odd minutes so that’s impressive. Anyway. I get your point.
  8. Doesn’t PL mean Spurs anyway? I’m sure Man City took the lead then drew level. Before a winner near the end.
  9. i think confidence is a factor. I suspect we were over confident after dispatching villa (and soaking up the adulation). Then it’s been massively dented by the Liverpool game. Back down to earth and a reminder we aren’t as good as we thought we were (both players and fans). I once got players player of the year for my Saturday team. At the start of the next season I swanned around the pitch thinking I don’t need to try that hard. I got dropped after about 4 games. 😂 I think there was an element of this. Our players aren’t the calibre of liverpool or Man City etc so we need to work our balls off and know our limitations.
  10. Possibly. One other thing I will say is that we aren’t looking after the ball as much as did in the midfield area. Everything is about going for the kill (which id much rather do than pedestrian football) but we need to be cleverer in possession with this many games.
  11. Wykiki being the voice of reason and now CT using metaphors to accurately describe the current tactical issues…. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON ?!?
  12. Aye. The point is amazing but we definitely aren’t the same force as we were last season. Whether that’s personnel or fitness..I don’t know. I have faith Eddie will get us back on track. I can count on one hand how many games we didn’t deserve to get anything out of last season. I think we are close to that mark already this season.
  13. There is a certain beauty about, none other than Wykiki telling the forum to chill.
  14. Gordon isn’t much improvement on the rest of the wingers. He is basically just quick. I don’t like his positional play but Howe can sort that out. I think that’s why he didn’t trust him last season. I hope Barnes starts getting a chance as he is the only winger that will rack goal involvements. Depending on the game I’d more likely start Big Joe and Willock on our left side though.
  15. Nah. If you had of told me when we were staring down the barrel at championship football with a shit squad, that in less than 2 years we’d be getting a point at the san Siro in the Champions League I would called you a clown.
  16. Great point but i echo the sentiments that we look a different team to last year. I think it’s the midfield lacking intensity and player positioning. We are getting cut up to easily (even villa could have had 3) and not creating anything. It could have easily been 4 or 5 nil tonight. Hopefully eddie has the answers. And hopefully Big and Little Joe are back soon.
  17. I went away for a filthy weekend away in Lisbon with some bird a few years back. Decided to have the steak tartare on the first night then spent the rest of the weekend shitting and puking. Managed to get a blowey though.
