Possibly the most talented player in english football, sadly also the dumbest and most selfish. Don't even think he rate Messi above himself.
-
Believe he's on 80k, doubt he'd take a cut, as the Premier League top scorer I'm sure he and his agent feel he deserve a raise more than anything

Real Madrid, the place Newcastle send their rejects ... From Harry Redknapp's comments about Woodgate it seems the player is looking for a pay as you play contract. Couldn't hurt, he's still incredible whenever fit enough to play. Apparently he might play today against Birmingham, Redknapp giving him a chance to show other clubs that he's still alive.

Around 10+, and it's the sensible way to go. Buy quality rather than names and it will be enough to strenghten where needed.

Gonna keep them at the club by gun point? Why so hostile? I just didn't line them up in the squad as they at this moment of time aren't Newcastle players for next season. Neither are Hutton, Wollscheid, Figueroa, Kvist , Reus, Borges, Bendtner or Lasogga but you put them in? Cause that's the point of this thread, to name the players you think Newcastle should sign. Current players with expiring contracts two months down the line are not likely to remain, most often it would be a case of either the club or player not wanting renegotiations. Turning 21 later this year, it wouldn't surprise me if Lua Lua would prefer a permanent move to Brighton where he'd get more game time. If they do sign on though, then great.

Wickham could be decent investment for the long term, although an exciting prospect, he's not ready to replace Andy Carroll in the Premier League. According to Ipswich followers it's questionable enough that deserves game time in the Championship. My transfer suggestion would be Ola Toivonen from PSV, swedish international, towering forward. Not much time to move on though, wouldn't be surprised if Carroll isn't truelly replaced before the summer. Thinking about it, a likely transfer considering the time at hand, would be Elmander from Bolton. Out of contract in the summer, and Bolton likely to be prepared for a move already.

depends on who wins the cups doesn't it? hopefully a top 6 team win it and we finish 7th then even if arsenal win the league cup, itll go to the runner up which will either be birmingham or west ham. hopefully west ham get relegated and go through a similar thing as pompey losing their euro cup spot Runner up in the league cup does NOT get UEFA, that is only in the FA cup. If Arsenal win the league cup, the UEFA spot will go to 6th place in the Premier League

depends on who wins the cups doesn't it? Aye, depends on Arsenal winning the league cup and one of the top 6 winning FA cup

What's up with Gomes? Shoulder injury in training yesterday

Chris Waddle Paul Gascoigne Paul Moran Kevin Scott Jermaine Jenas Ruel Fox Les Ferdinand David Ginola Jonathan Woodgate Sebastien Bassong Sol Campbell I bet there's more than that. Wayne Routledge

40k Played the entire second half of last season due to Lennon injury, Tottenham wouldn't have captured 4th without him. Could be said that he's the best player Newcastle could possibly sign to get the most out of Carroll. Santa Cruz had it easy at Blackburn with Bentley providing the crosses. 26 assists in Bentley's two last seasons there. Routledge have very little impact on the game, if Bentley is an option he'd definitely strenghten the side.
-
I've got a rumour for you, Bent is away in January because he's sick of the shite he's been getting up here, and that my friend is from a very good source. Can't see that happening like, who would he go to? Liverpool when Torres goes
-
The cut off day to be considered as U21 is january 1st, all players born in 1989 or after doesn't have to be registered - so Carroll is safe. 1988 have to be registered as seniors 1989 doesnt have to be registered, still counts as U21

It was actually Hodgson that won the LMA Manager of the Year award, voted by fellow managers. It covers any league, and both domestic and international cups. What Harry Redknapp won was the Premier League Manager of the Year award, which only considers Premier League (where Fulham were rather average lets be honest). Usually given to Sir Alex Ferguson.

Deluded and in need of anger management. I've registered on this forum to keep track of what's happening at Newcastle, and only posted a handful of times - mostly with a realistic approach and correct facts. Don't really see why I deserve these personal attacks and name callings just because I don't agree that Newcastle is top 3 in England or have any significant european pedigree. And for the record I'm not the same poster as Danny above, you can get an admin to ip check that if you really want.

Turned down Anthony Annan to sign him didnt he? Or was that later? Was definitely Paul Ince in charge when Annan was on trial.

Ye ye, fact of the matter is that there's still supporters who have a completely blinkered view on the club and it's position in both english football history and its current status. In my opinion it hinders Newcastle's ability to build long term, due to unrealistic ambitions and eventually lack of support of the management.

It's a shame there's not money to do a couple of top class reinforcements. Team would be pretty decent if built around Michael Carrick and with a 20+ goals striker up front.

Why this talk about big clubs again? You'd think a trip down to the championship would have cooled some heads down, and stopped them from holding Newcastle up with the Barcelona's of the world. Before the Premier League years and after the second world war, the time of the modern football game. It was common to talk about the big 5 in english football - Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, Everton and Tottenham. Tottenham was never a league club, they were the cup team above anyone else - at the time Premier League brought a periode of a handful of clubs dominating all tournaments, Tottenham were the most winning FA cup team through all time with their 8 titles. In fact all english tournaments taken into consideration there are only four teams with more titles than them. Don't forget their European titles neither - 3, same as Chelsea, more than all french clubs put together. Arsenal got only 1, Newcastle 0 (unless you count invitational tournaments, intertoto and anglo-italian cup). Also, only Manchester United and Liverpool have higher all time attandance than Tottenham, despite Tottenham lagging behind for years now in stadium capacity. They do sell out 99% and have a long waiting list for season tickets, and with a new bigger stadium around a corner I'm sure they'll keep their position for a long time. Yes, from mid 90s they were establishing themselves in the top of the Premier League. But it was done in a Leeds manner, spending money they didn't have. Which lead to them being minutes from going bankrupt and having to shut down the club - before Abramovich saved them and started his financial doping to push them the the extra step up as a title challenger and eventual winner. If you're going to give them credit, then I guess you'll aknowledge Manchester City as bigger than United in a couple of years time as well?

Linked with Danny Rose, fighting with Blackpool for a season long loan deal

Newcastle scouts in the stands tonight as Huseklepp ran riot setting up 3 of the goals in a 4-0 win. He's played striker for years now, has a past as a right winger. Changes sides a lot and at his best with the ball at his feet. 30 games 15 goals and 13 assists last season.
