I'm from a generation which lost out on many things which were mis sold like Endowments, didn't get the maternity benefits of nursery assistance parents get today etc etc so I shouldn't pay tax on my bloody pension !!!!!!!
He doesn't pay tax on it though. The 0% personal allowance is greater than the state pension. So his point is moot.

I'll tell you what is distasteful and that's anyone even suggesting that Arne Slot is under pressure. You CANNOT question the massive loss of a bit part squad player to those lads on hundreds of thousands of pounds a week. Slot should be allowed to lose every match between now and the end of the season and given a chance to start afresh next summer, it's the classy Liverpool FOOTBALL CLUB way.

He appears to be making the assumption that Howe has a footballing IQ which exceeds CT's and didn't deliberately try to throw the match. I think that's a fairly safe assumption to make.

Over here your MOT is carried out at a government run centre. If you fail then you're given a couple of weeks to go away and get the problem fixed then go back to have the repair checked.

For me it should have been a penalty but according to the letter of the law the contact was 'inevitable' and therefore not a foul. The only way a penalty could have been given was if the referee judged it to be reckless and that's a subjective call. Personally I'd say that both feet off the ground and studs up was reckless and we got away with one.

I have also told him to read the book called Die with Zero.
My BIL takes the piss out of me at times, because I have a saying of 'It's a good life'. If I am with my nephews and playing footy or cars or whatever I feel comforted and just lucky with what I have got. I feel I can appreciate the simple things in life and that for me is what its about.
