  1. Man Utd and Liverpool sell out maximum allocation everywhere. We did until about 2007 for 14 years, I can hardly think of one example to contradict that, and places like Wimbledon we'd take 10,000+ every week. I'd say we're behind Man Utd and Liverpool now though because of the allocations the board occasionally ask for like 1,800 at Spurs this season, ridiculous seeing as though there was 2,700 applications that we didn't ask for more. When you look at it overall away supports in terms of numbers presently, in terms of numbers and turning out at bad times anywhere etc.. you're looking at... Man Utd Liverpool Newcastle Leeds Arsenal Chelsea Tottenham, Sunderland, Everton Man City, Everton, Villa West Ham The rest of the established clubs away supports aren't worth talking about they're so shit. Agree with Man Utd at least, but I seem to remember when Liverpool played at Ewood in Hodgson's final match there were massive gaps in the away end. You can put that down to it being a midweek game, supporter "protests" etc., but I'm sure it wasn't sould out this time round. Same goes for Chelsea.
  2. Seen a couple of days ago on .com that our allocation for the Blackburn away game has been sold out yet again. Now, I don't want to sound obsessive and come up with another big club discussion, but I wonder how many clubs actually manage to sell out their ticket allocation at places where they are handed a big number of tickets (Blackburn, Wigan etc.). I've never come across a table that shows e.g. the percentage of the ticket allocation that actually has been sold to the away fans. Even when the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool etc have been playing at Ewood in recent years, there were quite a few gaps in the away stand IIRC. I'm sure our away following is only matched by Man Utd's? Cheers if anyone can help.
  3. Well obviously he's shit, we've seen enough of him, but it's still a good point. This is a bloke who rated DANNY WEBBER as one of the best strikers he'd ever worked with. Well, this Premiership legend scored against us in 2006
  4. Wasn't he put on the transfer list at Palace and declared not wanted by Neil Warnock? If HE thinks he's shit, and he's had some shite players at his clubs, then we are in trouble. Would prefer fucking Albert Luque in a wheelchair to Kuqi.
  5. How daft you've got to be to get yourself sent off when your team is 4-0 up I do not know.
  6. If this is a one-off and we manage to get a couple of points at B'ham/B'burn, I wouldn't worry. But I suppose today's performance underlines our fears coming out of the Fulham game. Confidence shattered, team-spirit fucked, body language shite. I've never for one second considered the threat of relegation even after the Carroll transfer, but this performance will be some food for thought for everyone concerned. Best has had one good game - against the then bottom team btw - in a Newcastle shirt. Enrique had a shocker on Wednesday and is doing well to repeat that. If West Ham continue to pick up points, we simply have to rely on the results of WBA/B'pool/Wigan & Wolves.
  7. Reminds me very much of the Liverpool / Pompey home games when Fat Sam was in charge and things began to fall apart ....
  8. Best in an offside position twice in the space of three mins again. Is he doing that on purpose?!
  9. I'll judge him on that as soon as he's got a full summer transfer window ahead of him, of course with the £35m in the bag..................
  10. We haven't been able to score one single bloody goal against fucking Fulham in 180 mins of football this season.
  11. Spot on. Has been ok for the first 55-60 mins, Enrique is by far the worse tonight.
  12. Don't want to see all doom and gloom, but if it stays this way, we suddenly go from "unbeaten in four" to without a win in three, with a home game against Arsenal to come, followed by two away trips. West Ham winning tonight, Birmingham drawing. Our team looking like they've been affected by the Carroll transfer, not as committed as usual. Worrying.
  13. Enrique FFS again, should have been 2
  14. Duff....... That's it then, can't see us scoring in a million years. Enrique to blame for that one.
  15. Williamson actually having a decent game, apart from that.
  16. Apparently we have failed in a bid for Bendtner (loan). Can't see happening anything; Only talk of "we've tried desperately hard, we don't want to upset the squad's balance, teamspirit etc, it has to be the right player, no purchase for the sake of it" blablablabla.
  17. Rumours now that we're not signing anyone and Ashley will be happy with our current squad and his bloody £35m. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even try.
  18. According to the Guardian, he should be set to make his debut on Wed if a deal goes through. Think it's what Tom said, a N'Zogbia/Given-"injury".
