  1. Yep. For sure. Ange's suicidal dedication to this style shows the weakness of him most of all imo. He's like a religious zealot and perhaps not too bright. Nothing works all the time or forever (unless you're City or RM). But he's just like fuck it play it out more, mate! We're bein' brave cunts! Embarrassing. Makes me want to remind everyone I'm originally from NZ.
  2. I didn't look up their position to be honest. No mark club with no ambition. There's a chance nobody at the club even knows what place they're in. They'd be assuming about 12th based on the lack of vibes.
  3. I found this pretty interesting. Some nice praise for our tactics too.
  4. Yep. Good points. I don't disagree with anything here. I was more so addressing the idea a few pages back that we'll need to win the rest of our games. Not only is that very unlikely to be true in general. It's actually pretty unlikely to be true even after this weekend since the teams around us are not exactly impervious to dropping points. Taking that into consideration, I did say I think City are favourites against Wolves. It is true that Wolves haven't beaten anyone of particular note. But you can only beat who is in front of you and I think we very often see teams in good form who "haven't beaten anyone important" then play someone "important" and beat them too. Confidence cannot be underestimated imo. It happened to us with Bournemouth earlier in the season from memory. They hadn't beaten anyone significant. We drew confidence from that here on the forum with the usual sausage waving culprits. Probably myself included. And then they fuckin hammered us. (Although I could be misremembering and can't be arsed to look it up. So I recommend nobody else look it up either. ) Anyway, as I said, I'm still backing City to win, but it isn't a fait accompli in my mind. None of our competitors for CL football are untouchable, including City (although they are certainly returning to form that can't be denied). Anyway, all things considered, I completely agree with the general prognosis. So I'm just being a pedant. Us and City are favourites now for 3rd and 4th. Chelsea and Forest competing for 5th in a basic competition to see who can tailspin their way out of the season with the best semblance of grace. And Villa are basically out of it short of a flawless run or Chelsea & Forest both collapsing completely to help them out.
  5. Just had a peek at the fixture list and I think we have a reasonably good round of games coming up too in terms of who our rivals are playing. City v Wolves City are much improved but Wolves are the form team in the league. That's a very tough game for City. I'd still pick City but it wouldn't be surprising to see Wolves get a result. City are still not the team they once were. Big chance for Wolves to prove a point about their recent form. Chelsea v Liverpool There's every chance Liverpool down tools now. It's undoubtedly the best time to play them all year. But Liverpool are streets ahead of the competition for a reason. They're class. And Chelsea are fuckin shit, especially so with Palmer's recent dip in form. Has one goal in 16 games or something I think. You'd think even a severely hungover Liverpool has a good chance against Chelsea. Crystal Palace v Forest Palace into a first FA Cup final since Pardew's dancing nonsense. Conversely Forest just knocked out. Could go either way. But hopefully Palace can carry their form into this match & catch Forest feeling a bit sorry for themselves. I'd lean towards that being the most likely scenario: Palace carrying their cup heroics into the next match home game. Villa v Fulham This is the outlier. Outside of playing a relegated team this is likely the easiest fixture in the PL at the moment. At home to a team on the beach for months now. Shit club derby. Battle of the terminally boring. Villa likely win, obviously, but the fact they lost at the weekend means they are on the verge of being out of the running for the CL anyway. One more bad result for them probably ends their chances.
  6. Completely agree. Hindsight makes it easy, of course, but a draw against Villa away would've been almost worth a win against anyone else in these last few games Can't fault Tindall though. He went for the win. Fair enough. There was merit to his "if it ain't broken" approach. But now that Howe's back you'd expect to see the usual defensive tweaks for our away games.
  7. Time to right wrongs in this match and get the away win against them. Hoping for an improved performance from Willock. He tends to improve with a run of games. And he'll be better in a match where we'll be looking for chances to counter-attack. He's one of our best when he's confident. Fingers crossed. I also think we'll see a big performance from Isak too. He's been scoring but hasn't been dominant like we know he can be. 3-0, Willock, Isak and a late goal from Big Willy Osula.
  8. Just messing with you mate. I don't think anyone seriously doubts Isak's quality. ❤️
  9. Completely dominant half. Bit of luck and it could've been 3 or 4 already. Definitely a day for GD improvement.
  10. Should be dropping these corners on the keepers head imo. He's a prime flapper.
  11. Great little cross there. Free header really. And now a free volley. Fuck me. Cunt needs to score worldies only.
  12. Willock offering little. He basically plays well with Joelinton and not instead of him.
  13. That's a dive and a card. Thank you. Ref finally gets something right.
