Agreed. I think at RW especially we need to be looking at a long term project player with immense potential. Basically Minteh v.2. As for Murphy, he has done enough to retain his place in the side ahead of whoever we sign at RW. At least initially. His chemistry with Isak is incredible. His gameplan is simple and effective. He executes it very very well with early balls, intelligent movement and hardwork off the ball. For me, he seems a very intelligent and humble person and this seems to provide the platform for him to stick to his gameplan. And it works well with the overall team gameplan. We're in an era where so many wingers won't take on their opponent for fear of losing possession. Murphy isn't that, thank god. And Howe doesn't have a possession first mindset. As a priorirty, he wants his wingers to use the ball not keep the ball. Murphy fits that mould perfectly. Gordon too. Their greatest strength is that they don't fear losing possession. A lot of the credit for that goes to Howe. But also teammates and the individuals themselves deserve a lot of credit for knowing the gameplan and performing their roles within it to facilitate wingers with balls.

I think we have to appreciate that it's late in the season. The players will have a lot of physical and mental fatigue to deal with. They've done the job, got out of sight early and gone into recovery ride mode. It isn't an exciting watch but it is professional. Save the legs and mind for the next one.

Apart from the Villa victory it has been a perfect set of results for us. Need to put the best of the PL's Premium Championship sides to the sword tomorrow.

It'll go through. No doubt about it.

Man City are running a flawless media campagin prior to the 115 charges coming to a head. They've shown once that the PL administrators are incompetent at the very least if not outright corrupt. Moreover, once the self-governing aspects are included it's shown that the PL operates a system that absolutely protects the interests of certain clubs with grandfathered wealth against "new money" clubs for no reason outside of a "we were here first" clause. And now City are gonna show them up again because they'll win again. Because nothing has changed. They're in effect poisoning the well but doing so not through dishonesty or underhandedness. They're simply shining a light on how the PL works for certain clubs and against others. Theyre merely using the truth. What a refreshingly novel idea. Any negative result for them from the 115 charges is ready to be framed as a continuation of a systematic attempt to maintain a certain order to things to their detriment. And, in so many ways, they're 100% right. Gotta say, it's genius. I love it. And aside from it potentially benefiting us as the other new money upstart, I would love it anyway because fuck Arsenal, Chelsea, ManU, and the others thinking they have a divine right to win silverware.* And fuck their lickspittle helpers too. *not that it's really about silverware for the yanks. It's about "franchises" acting as vehicles for wealth generation and ego boosts for nutcases. Just more capitalist psychopath gear really at the end of the day.

They say pets take after their owners. Cats shouldn't sit to wipe and neither should you.

Good decision by the club. Another year, hopefully as a backup and mentor to a new CB, see how he performs and maybe extend again. He's possibly been our weakest performer this year. But still deserving of a spot in the squad for another year at this stage.

I always wonder why rag papers or fake ITKs make up transfers rumours involving swap deals. They almost literally never happen. Feels like the football news equivalent of ragebait articles that old people share with each other on Facebook to get all wound up about nothing. Tonali getting swapped for seven Udinese players. Modern shower heads come pre-installed with hidden sachets of harmful brainwashing chemicals. Disgusting! Fuckin' how dare they!

I'm feeling good about this one. Confidence will be sky high. Home game. 5-0. This could be the springboard to a CL push for the remainder of the season. But it's kinda a free shot now. We're in Europe already for next season. Got a cup. It's just amazing. Must be incredible to be in Newcastle at the moment.

Is it even feasible for the club to stump up the wages he'd be after if he figures big CL clubs will be in for him down the road? Especially as it would likely create a benchmark for our other big players we have (and even dont have yet) to work with when they negotiate contracts. Not that others could demand equivalent wages with one of worlds best strikers but they could argue that the "wage structure" the club had previously negotiated wages under has shifted. I dunno. I think unless we can convince him to accept a moderate wage increase, he'll likely be away in the next year or so. Obviously, I pray I'm wrong. He's second only behind Howe in terms of importance. But I don't see how it's possible to keep him.

Gayle talking about playing against Man City and at HT they asked Bruce for some tactical advice. And Bruce replied: "I don't do tactics. Just put your boots on, try hard, and run about." How has he had a job in football management for nigh on three decades? That's something you'd tell an U-6s team.
