  1. With a 5-3-2 or 5-4-1 etc. we could have wide centre-backs taking care of that instead, letting our 2 offensive-minded wingbacks go almost full-on attacking aiming to put bullets in Cisse's gun. Could also supply with a deeplying midfielder who patrol in front of the often just 3 man defence, Anita/Perch. We also have exceptional hardworkers in Cabaye and Sissoko help both out attack and defense, and to link up with midfield and Cisse we could use either a free-role playmaker Marveaux, or more of a everywhere attacking force like Gouffran, Marve probably being more assist-minded Gouffran more goal-minded. Can't promise it's gonna work just like that, but at least we are not initially using the players where they have weaknesses.
  2. besides being a half-decent attacking winger, decent cross, decent technique, I'd highly regard positioning, work rate, marking, tackle, anticipation, not losing focus etc.
  3. I get the structure of the tactic we are playing with, but I still think we could've been way better off if our left fullback was more skilled defensively. Besides doing what's naturally has to happen in such a tactic there's an awful load of extra defensive work expected from Jonas. Could just be because they are neither natural left fielders.
  4. Nah not really, the closest to that is some friends of mine who works at the Gothenburg Film University... I'll spam breast shots if we can get into the top 7 this year.
  5. Good humour, but there isn't really anything called upside down in an universe if you speak in terms of gravity, just you brits who think you are the centre of the fuckin universe
  6. what about us, are we still friends?...
  7. Not many fullbacks in PL are so dependent of having a support defensive winger playing ahead of them as him. I really want to see a natural left back like we have in Haidara in action, and maybe Santon can opt for the right winger position while Ben Arfa is gone?
  8. And some more: You wouldn't know a decent footballer if he gave you a reach around!
  9. believe it or not, that's not one of CT's many contradictions.
  10. Gouffran and Jonas doesn't supply, Gouffran is a more of a free-role attacker probably more skilled in the art of cutting inside and pass or score or just poach, and Jonas if anything he's become a defender under Pardew. Marveaux and Debuchy are our only half-reliable suppliers from out wide (if we speak of crossing).
  11. There must be a reason Man U didn't want him.
  12. I think we were his first priority though, but we didn't want him...too bad, we could've needed another decent English player.
  13. Not to overlook that both these feats are extremely pronounced in the way Alan Pardew does his job....
  14. Noooo can't happen, that's what other teams usually have.
  15. I'm also all for try using Jonas on the right though, he is clearly running towards a wall on this side, probably fed up of being Santon's reserve defender and never being able to get in a good cross because his left foot don't work.
  16. sorry to disappoint you saying I can't feel hit, I don't own those kind of mental or physical issues.
  17. It's like saying Krul's goal kick lead to it because he was in that chain of passes before it became a goal. The cross wasn't sweet (still one his better ones, probably because he was on the right side of the pitch), he was lucky the defender had a bad clearance and Cabaye was at the end of it.
  18. We should use the defensive "winger" Jonas as a sub only to secure victory in games we lead 2-0 or more from now on. Hell, he did contribute fuck all the first half, got himself booked because he couldn't shut his yappin the second, but went into a defensive stance with passion when the guys supposed to keep our possession were all boogered... We didn't really have any use for Jonas the first half, so I can't really see how chances to get goals would reduce had Marveaux been on the pitch. However putting Jonas in to defend later in the game would probably provide useful.
  19. As successful as Willo and Colo.
  20. 10/11 was his last full season for Blackburn, and they ended 15th, then went on to Tottenham where he featured in 5 league games. Not great...
