  1. Not sure what the crack is with him fitness-wise but he isn't listed as injured but he didn't even make a single appearance pre-season, did he? Out of contract at the end of the season too. I'd suggest he's a goner and not in Pardew's plans. He was at Huddersfield last season and got injured, but he still got some ambitions. Says here he'd like a first team place, so I guess there are still some ambitions with him http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11740_7004759,00.html
  2. Obertan should not be underestimed though, he could be a Nani type of player given he has a manager who dares to experiment with the team. I quite like what he shows in his games for ManU, seems very skilled http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FLsaPilQVg, along with Ben Arfa and Marveaux we certainly have the potential to be seriously magic on the midfield
  3. I would like to see Kadar testing the left back role.
  4. Was saying to the mackem at work on Friday a good result against them could be the worst thing for us....in terms of long term squad strength. Good point, we'll probably not be hearing anything about any future transfers after this one... the worst part was that Ryan Taylor actually performed pretty decent.
  5. Regarding the attacking presence, I think Marveaux could prove to be a real attacking threat if he was given the chance, and I really hope that's where the magic will be produced this season along with Ben Arfa. But of course we need to build the team around them in a completely new way, and I'm still a bit unsure if Pardew is capable of pulling it off.
  6. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11678_7117390,00.html Erik Pieters and PSV is still waiting for a concrete offer...
  7. I don't think I would allow Pardew the permission to be manager of the month regardless of results. He's a weak cunt, and if we continue winning it's solely from the team spirit inspired by the players themselves.
  8. His point is pointless, just like every other bullshit point he pretends to stand for, he's just being Mike Ashley's external media outlet to make it look like everything is at a normal state.
  9. I honestly think we are running a tighter budget than Swansea City at the moment, so I can't really see how he can compare the transfer policy to any of the PL clubs, it's just monkey business like. However, the team is in still high morale and actually looks capable of winning some matches this season, and that's what counts at the end of day, isn't it?
  10. Now everyone speaks french
  11. Smokescreen along with Maiga, which I seriously believe is another dead end, seeing Sochaux just signed him last year and they really won't see him go. So many players they could've approached by now, but still they're aiming for the most difficult targets at the very end of the window. I really don't believe the leadership would show this type of incompetence without a cause. Why won't Ashley just sell if he hates our club, is he making too good money seeing us fail???
  12. Well, Lyon also stated they where currently desperate for money, so they might sell somewhat cheaper, but 8-9m... I can't believe it.
  13. Oh shit, did he... I really have no interest in whats going on in Serie Aaah haha, yeah, I got him from FM, he seemed so grabable at his relegated Sampdoria side... at least he plays with the right colours now:)
  14. At least we are in the top four now, and I hope Ashley realizes that's where we belong.
  15. Steve Harper should go, he doesn't deserve his salary in this club. We could even get a better goalie than Krul just for the wage spenditure we rid with Harper leaving.
  16. I've been studying him a bit and he looks equally adept both as winger and more of a attacking mid/trequartista type of dude, surely is the complete package in the attacking department. Let him make Scunthorpe look like Blue Square shite, and then force Fulham to defeat! Bring on Marveaux, Pardeux!
  17. Mike Ashley stated "I think Salah is the new Zidane, and I will now sell Tim Krul and Jodie Forster to make space for him in the first eleven" lol
  18. He's a athletic workman and a great asset for supporting the defence, but I think his attacking style is boring, predictable and never precise. Ben Arfa steals his place once he's well and I could picture him being sold to add to Ca$hley gold purse. Shane Ferguson could be a good back-up, and I think Vuckic could play winger aswell, so not the biggest loss tbh... EDIT: and I completely forgot Marveaux, he's a left winger too.
  19. I totally agree with the Beckham comparison, that's the first that came to mind after watching his crossing, passing, technique etc. over the last couple of seasons, he's exactly that type of player. He should defo be playing wide, and Obertan should consider retraining for something more like a fast striker role since he's still developing.
  20. I retreat the comment comparing him to Shola... nobody deserves that
  21. Considering shooting from distance is one of his greatest assets, I'm expecting some goals once he's settled... can't wait
  22. Except being younger, his stats shows he's just another Shola. I was hoping we'd capture Zigic from Birmingham or Bendtner from Arsenal, or if we are being more clever grabbing Thomas Necid from CSKA. Raw power and a robust head is what we need on top, We already have pace in Ba.
  23. I thought cissokho had a price tag of nearly £20m, that is what lyon stated earlier in some article regarding liverpool... not a price ashley's gonna pay. If we can get him, he's already got quality and still young and developing, he could prove to be as good as Enrique this season. If not, I hope we are playing with other cards aswell, maybe Reto Ziegler, Benoit Tremoulinas, or hot prospect Jordan Spence.
