No they're not, after the expenses scandal ipsa was set up to take the power away from MPs regarding their own pay and expenses. The only way they can reject it is by giving it away or something like that.

Couldn't agree more with that. I've got a friend who says he supports Liverpool because he had a cleaner that was from there (he has never been to anfield).

Born in Hexham (lived in Wylam), moved down to London at the age of 5. Not really sure what group that puts me in as nobody I know would say I'm a geordie (lost the accent pretty quickly down south) and Wylam isn't exactly Newcastle. It is a good article, don't like Fraser much but I would listen to a party that cut taxes for working people as long as they didn't do the same for millionaires. He also fails to draw a distinction between monetary stimulus and fiscal stimulus.

It will be interesting to see how they perform at the next election. Seems like they're going to pinch 2nd place of the tories. More pressure on Cameron, surely at some point the coalition is going to blow especially with the smear on the Lib Dems this week
