The team is still too lightweight and the defence is no better than season.5 goals conceded in the first 3 games.We'll concede at least 3 in the next game against Southampton.Bottom half finish come May with this squad i feel.Hangerland and Dawson would have been good short term buys for us but we kinow that's not the policy with Fat Mike.

Incorrect.A lot on here wanted him at fulback just to give him a game.He has generally been shit at both fulback and central defence.He has been weak in the air and in the tackle.His positional play has been a joke when in central defence.He has resembles a frightened rabbit more than a Premier League footballer. Not good enough for our defence which about sums him up perfectly.He's no better than Taylor before you start !!!

Shit strikers in the Prem need 3 chances or more.We don't create 3 chances in most games.Nowt gets pulled back from the touchline.Nowt gets whipped in.Nowt gets threaded through.Now if you think how many chances are created against us due to us backing off or not marking till the opposing player is `on his bike'.

Sissoko does add a spark down the right and will attack the left back.Now if we can get someone to do the same down the left,we might get the odd ball into the box for Riviere to attack.Another plan could be to have one or two midfield players getting into the box.A tactic we have never used under Pardew.

Janmaat was shit today.I know it was his first game but i can only comment on what i saw.Slow to help the attack and painfully slow to get across to stop attacks down our right handside.He looked shitscared to get tight on his man.Maybe he was simply following team orders by tucking in and stopping Man City's one-twos around the box but if Man City had wanted to put centres in,they could have put them in from our right at will.

I thought Jack had a very good game.He never gave Toure a chance to impose himself on the game.He rarely gave the ball away and his link up play was decent.Now we know why the crosseyed gimp and every makem wanted him to stay.I wouldn't say he is England material,unlike the makems two seasons ago.You could see the relief on his face when he ran onto the pitch knowing his days of stinking of makem piss were over.
