Can you still take a shirt down to your local major high street sports store (preferably not Sports Direct) and get a name and number whenever you want? Going to get the home shirt I think but that patch demands a name and number. So yes, I'm going to be a sheep, however I don't see the point in getting a name and number on it now as the player in mind might leave or have his number changed (Ben Arfa especially) during the summer.

Can't understand getting so worked up over a presumption that we won't drastically improve the strikeforce during the summer, especially after a win. I'm no Ashley apologist but I'll judge him (and Pardew) when the window is shut, not before it's even open.

Picked up yet another yellow today. You could tell from his reaction just how frustrated he was with it. 14 for the season now. 1 more and he'll face a ban next season, which would be ridiculous. For all his qualities, his disciplinary record is really starting to overshadow the positive sides of his play and more significantly, it's led to him missing vital matches. As mentioned in the match thread; can this really be drilled out of him (somewhat, at least) without diluting -for want of a better word - his intensity whilst on the ball? He'll be 25 in a couple of months. He's not an over-excited teenager and he needs to learn to think a little more before putting himself about defensively speaking.

Can't help himself when there's the potential for a challenge or for just sticking your leg out. I tried to suggest that it could be coached out of him but other thought doing so would make him less effective. Hard to be effective when you're sitting on the bench suspended I say. I'm hoping it's something they'll really work on during pre-season. But with that said, you can't replicate the intensity of proper matches during pre-season.
