  3. Charnley will have l been told to flick through his pannini sticker book picking names at random to feed to the media.
  4. We might as well concentrate on the Burnley game because there's bugger all happening here.
  5. For a man of this calibre & stature in the game the way Ashley's treat him is nothing short of a disgrace. Yet McClaren got virtually an open cheque book ffs disgusting.
  6. Not good enough. 7. Rafa Benitez The Newcastle fans are clever especially the ones on toontastic except that T dansmith what a tosser
  8. Rafa was asked if he would stay at Newcastle if he was not backed by at least one new signing before Wednesday night: “I have to just worry about Burnley and that’s it. I think the fans are very clever and they know what is going on.” “What I have to do is keep going. I am a professional and I want to do well.” “I am happy with the city, the fans and can see the potential of the club.” “I have to be sure that everybody understands the message, we have the same idea and we are on the same page.” “We have to keep working hard.” “I am sure I will keep working as hard as now with all my staff. We try to improve the team.” “I think if we do anything we don’t have time for this game against Burnley.” “At least we will have time to do something.”
  9. Rafa Benitez: “The Newcastle fans are very clever, they know what is going on. (Asked about any January signings) “I hope we can (still) do something.” Trying to remain positive but looked pissed off.
  10. Rafa Benitez has told Aleksandar Mitrovic and Jonjo Shelvey to forget about moving to a rival Premier League club in the last few days of the January window. Shelvey is wanted by West Ham United but Benitez isn’t interested in selling the midfielder. He said: “We are not thinking about selling any player to a Premier League team, a competitor because that has no sense. We have to do what we done in August, manage the players we have. “If we go for a player in the Premier League they normally say no. When asked if he would add to his squad, he said: “I hope so. “I will tell you on January 31. “But I hope so. We gave a list of players on January 1. The plan was for an A, B and C.” Rafa gave the list to Charnley on 1st January. The baldy little twat put it down somewhere & cant remember were he put it.
  11. Rafa Benitez kept his cool when questioned about (lack of) transfers on Friday afternoon but was clearly far from happy. The United boss says that he personally doesn’t get involved in the transfers, but stated that he gave Mike Ashley his list of transfer targets ‘A, B and C options…’ and is still waiting to see if they end up being signed. “We have given a list with A, B and C options…we have to wait until 31st January, then we will see.”
  12. Recap of what Benitez said at todays presser. Rafa is still hopeful he’ll have at least one signing by the close of the window On whether they’ll break the club’s transfer record he would only say they’d have to wait and see On Nicolai Jorgensen he just said he did not deal with transfer negotiations and merely gave those who do his A, B and C targets On Mitrovic, he said if someone does sign he’ll be able to consider offers for him, but only from teams outside of the Premier League He acknowledged Brighton’s bid but said he wouldn’t sell to a rival unless, he joked, they were willing to pay £500m He spoke of Kenedy signing, how he’d watched him since the summer and said he’s a great option who adds quality and versatility to the squad He said that the window should be reduced because 31 days is too long in the middle of a season when you’re left with uncertainty over certain players On the FA Cup game at Chelsea, he said he’s unlikely to bring any youngsters in because he says there are too many first team players on the fringes who would deserve a chance if he was to switch things up Injury wise, Lejeune has been back running this week. Everyone is fit except Jesus Gamez, although the suggestion was that Mitrovic won’t be involved Asked about his time at Chelsea, he said he enjoyed his time there and was proud of what he achieved, but said his only focus was on Newcastle now
  13. Your right but in this instance we could do without the extra games.
  14. He gets everything about the city, the club, the fans Ashley's a bastard for treating him the way he does
  15. IF we beat Chelsea it'll be the first time in Ashley's ten year tenure that we've reached the fifth round of the F.A. Cup. The FA Cup has lost it's magic now & to be honest being drawn against Chelsea maybe a godsend. I'm not saying i want us to get beat but we could do without the extra games to concentrate on our league position.
  16. P.S. I was on holiday in Miami so i couldn't give a toss love Mike
  17. Happy Face tweeted this morning we've never bought a player after 26th January for the last 7 windows
  18. I expect the first question in todays presser will be regarding transfers or lack of them
  19. £15 million second bid for Jorgenson rejected they want £25 million in no hurry to sell.
