The frightening thing about all this is McLaren now holds all the cards.
-
If you read my post back i said "no manager worth their salt would come here and work under Ashley or Charnley" so stick that in ya pipe and smoke it.
-
Is that why they're all queuing up.
-
@@Monroe Transfer honestly mate any manager worth their salt wont want to come and work here under Ashley & Charnley and the constraints they have in place.
-
Lee Charnley 20th January 2015 "We've had about 80 applications of people interested in the role. That’s people within football"
-
Probably phone or twitter him.

“BREAKING: Sky sources: Patrick Vieira no longer under consideration by NUFC if they decide to change head coach.” “BREAKING: Sky sources: Newcastle to hold talks with John Carver in next 48 hours to clarify his position.” - See more at: http://www.themag.co.uk/2015/06/breaking-vieira-ruled-out-and-newcastle-now-set-for-talks-with-john-carver/#sthash.SXiTxGpm.dpuf

Knocked the job back twice couldn't get Derby promoted i'm totally underwhelmed the alternative is Carver ffs.

If it' McLaren it's another dull boring appointment in the Pardew mould

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jonas-gutierrez-ryan-taylor-reveal-9371196 One phone call between the two of them shocking.

Hopefully Keegan can come back here again in some capacity (once this sod off) his sheer presence in the ground would be like having an extra man on the pitch. The guy that's putting that statue of Shearer together should be commisioned to do one of Keegan.
-
Yeah i'd agree with that
-
We needed the new manager to be given free reign on the football side of the club. Let Ashley & Charnley sort out the financial side fairy nuff but the new manager, even if he has to have a DoF has to be allowed the final choice on players he wants in the squad. If they can't allow that then they should go all out and let Charnley pick the team as well.
-
Lee Charnley talking to The Chronicle 20th January 2015 "Does he have any say (in transfers)?’ Yes. Does he have the final say? No he doesn’t. There’s a difference there" There's only Carver that could agree to that.
-
Oi you can sod off with this i'm not that Makom kid
-
Not having the final say on transfers, probably having to have Carver & co as backroom staff, being answerable to Charnley who hasn't a clue (his last job filling in the reserve team sheets) the transfers alone would be a huge sticking point imho because surely he'd want the final say on who's in his squad.
-
It may not state his demands but we know the restrictions that would be placed on him here. I just can't see him fancying it when he learns what they are i may be a million miles wrong of course.
-
http://www.themag.co.uk/2015/06/patrick-vieira-says-he-needs-freedom-and-the-tools-to-do-the-managers-job/ Forget about Vieira lads can't see him working under the restrictions.

I remember going to The Globe a few years ago when it had just been reopened by polish guys . They had 2 bottled Polish beers one called Lech the other called Strong. Not sure what they were like as i dont drink alcohol now. But i do remember back in the day The Broken Doll used to sell Slalom D lager which was quiet potent.
-
"He's not foreign " ha ha ha get back to your blue pop you dozy twat.
-
Lee Charnley 20th January 2015 "First and foremost, they have to be a good coach and with a track record of developing players and giving young players a chance is important" Does Vieira fit this criterea ?
-
Well done Widnes not a Wonga sign in sight.
-
Charnleys previous job was filling in the team sheet for the reserves. To think he's now in control of appointing a new manager and giving players like Jonas their cards it's pathetic. We might get linked to a few names for the manager head/coach job but once they realise they'll be working under restrictions by these clowns they'll be running from SJP.
-
Releasing Jonas and giving Ameobi a new contract shows whats wrong with this club. Although technically not the most gifted of players he has fought back through ill health to win back his first team place. How do they reward him ? admittedly you can't run a team on sentiment but he's been the only player whose played with courage and conviction since he returned .
